“Hidden gem”
Reviewed 15 August 2014 via mobile

With the Festival on, we couldn't find a seat in a center-city restaurant. We flagged down a taxi driver, who took us to this restaurant in a lovely area of Edinburgh. Terrific menu and food. Relaxed ambience. We split the charcuterie tablet. The "hot smoked" salmon appetizer was perfect for my main course. The trout main course also was amazing.

“Nice pub in Leith with good pub food”
Reviewed 11 August 2014

Great selection of beers by waters edge. Cute menu where you can buy things by the mug. Fish and chips were good as were burgers. Never eaten battered scallop before and they were wonderful. Over the road they have more formal restaurant which looked good too.

“Teuchters landing is a great pub for a meal”
Reviewed 9 August 2014

After reading about it here, it's become a regular for us. In terms of pub food, it is much better quality for a similar price than most. The fish is very fresh with lovely crisp batter. The mugs of mac & cheese with bacon have been variable with some days better than others, but still very good. The bar is also first rate with a large array of beers, ciders, etc, & more whiskies than I've seen at any other bar.
The atmosphere is very relaxed & frequented by couples and small groups of all ages.
Handily there is also parking nearby.

“Don't tell anyone about this restaurant! Keep it to Yourself!”
Reviewed 8 August 2014

A group of us went for dinner at this little place out of the way. The food was delicious, service fabulous, toilets sparkling! We had Slow Roasted Ayrshire Pork Belly with scallion and rosemary mash, caramelised root vegetables and balsamic gravy, and Grilled North Sea Coley Fillet with herb creamed peas, wilted baby leaf spinach and sweet potato purée. The entrees were equally delicious. Go to this restaurant but keep it a secret!

“Room in Leith - absolutely fabulous”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

We came to celebrate a Birthday and were warmly welcomed and served like kings. The food is delicious, the fish was the star of the dish (as it should be) and there was no attempt to overload the plate with carbs. This really is the gem of Leith and I would recommend with no hesitation.
