The location of the apartment was perfect, within walking distance of the Castle, Grassmarket, Cowgate, Princes Street and more. The owner Mosobbir was extremely accommodating in letting us check in/out at more convenient times due to our early arrival/late departure. He met us on arrival, showed us round and provided complimentary tea/coffee.
The apartment was very clean and tidy. The beautiful sash windows aren’t double glazed (most likely due to requiring Grade II listed planning consent) which does make it a little noisy and chilly but this had no bearing on our stay and I slept well on the comfy beds.
There is a lovely pub on the corner, the Scotsman, great for a warm welcome and fab live music.

The location of the flat is in the city centre so we were expecting some noise from the streets however what we experienced was a group of students staying in the backpackers accommodation over the road having a street party at 3am, the noise was ridiculous. The windows are not double glazed so we could hear every word(not good). The flat itself was very disappointing with marks on the walls where radiators had been removed and not painted, there are doors that have been fitted and left unpainted, a hole in the wall that was supposed to be a fire place. Various parts of the woodwork with paint chipped off. Overall a very poor standard to the flat. We have stayed in some beautiful flats in Edinburgh over the last few years and this is not one of them. We will not be returning.
Nice and clean apartment comfortable beds in a great location in the city. Will be back. 10 out of 10
