“Good value for money”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

Never been to Edinburgh before and really enjoyed it. Much rested on how good the hotel was and it is! Good value for money, good food, good room and excellent, helpful staff. Would stay again without hesitation.

Room Tip: Don't know.

We had a fantastic stay on the weekend of the Edinburgh marathon, Marion and Norrie were fantastic hosts, the rooms were spotless, the breakfast was lovely, they catered for my boyfriend who is gluten and dairy intolerant and the complimentary biscuits and toiletries were a lovely touch. The location is great and if you have any questions Norrie knows everything!!! I mentioned it was my birthday and a card and gift were left in my room, they are such a lovely couple and are happy to help with anything. We will definitely be staying again! Katy & Olly

I stayed at this lovely Bed and Breakfast for 5 nights at the beginning if May and I enjoyed every second!
The hosts are very kind and helpful. We got a lovely breakfast every morning and even breakfast to go, if we got up very early due to a day trip or our departure time.
The rooms are lovely decorated and meet every meet there possibly is. Not even in a 5 star hotel I felt so comfortable!

I definitely recommend this B&B to everyone that's planning to visit Edinburgh!

Together with three colleagues of mine I spent four nights at Browns B&B. And all I can say is that it is the perfect place to stay when you would like to visit Scotland´s fantastic capital. The rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast is delicious, the city centre is within walking distance and, last but by no means least, Mr and Mrs Brown are wonderful and extremely helpful people who definitely enjoy what they do. You do not feel like the average tourist, but you feel at home because you are treated like old friends.

A thousand thanks again for everything - and we will be back, that is a promise!

My sisters, mum and I just stayed for 1 night here as we were going to the Playhouse to see a show! What a really lovely couple who couldn't do enough for you, rooms were immaculate and excellent breakfast! Brilliant location and we will definitely be back. 5 minutes walk to Playhouse and Princes Street so very handy.

What can I say about this place that hasn't been said before? A lovely wee bed and breakfast which is truly a home from home. Decor fab, hosts lovely, lots of lovely touches in the room and only a 5 minute stroll fo the playhouse. Lots of take-aways, restaurants, pubs nearby as well as tesco express & co-op. If you want to head to George street where there are some good pubs its about a 20 minute walk but plenty of buses outside. Can't fault the place and will definetly be returning the next time I am in Edinburgh and will be recommending it to any friends/colleagues.

Room Tip: We had a room to the front of the bed & breakfast but the beds are so comfortable we managed to...

What a lovely bed and breakfast in Edinburgh, Browns took our booking as a last minute plan as we'd been let down by another and we were grateful for this but everything defiantly worked out for the best as we couldn't of asked for a nicer place to stay. I arrived with two friends at 11.30am and we were able to check in immediately, we received such a warm welcome from Norrie and were shown to our rooms, very spacious, comfortable and clean and had everything we needed!!

For breakfast there was a sheet to fill in we were passed on arrival, we picked options we wanted and left them ready for collection before heading out for the day. At 9am next morning we made our way downstairs to the dining room where we were greeted with big smiles from Norrie and Marion, plenty of tea/coffee and orange juice, cereal, muffins and then Marion brought out the fried breakfast we had ordered, couldn't have asked for more and was cooked perfectly.

The location of the b&b is perfect, we chose to use the bus which was a 2min walk on to the main road from the b&b, however I'd say it would be about 15-20min walk into the very centre on a nice day. Marion and Norrie the owners of the b&b were very helpful and told us to which bus we needed to get to get us where we wanted to be, Marion and Norrie couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and I would recommend to anybody if they were visiting Edinburgh to stay here.
