All you need from a B&B: quiet surrounding, clean and well equipped rooms, very nice and extremely helpful owners. Location on the outskirts of Edinburgh but very frequent and easy use public transport

The Cameron is everything we could want in a city B'n'B: close to the center but not too close. Quiet enough without being muffled, near local shopping (the mall is 2 blocks over) for last minute needs, half a block from the bus stop, walking distance to a couple good pubs.
The hosts, Wendy and Norrie, are spirited, outgoing and helpful. You come in as a client and leave as a friend. Their son Harry (six-ish) is a delight and will chat you up at breakfast or tell you about his day. The food is marvelous and well prepared--a great start to any day.
The Cameron: Highly recommended for your stay in Edinburgh.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Wendy runs an efficient and comfortable B&B -- my room was capacious and very up to date, with tv and modern bathroom. Bed was comfortable and the room was spotless. Breakfasts were delicious. Overall a very friendly and welcoming stay. Its a 15 minute bus ride from the Royal Mile, but this is actually an advantage -- buses run frequently, the neighborhood is quiet and safe, and away from the noisy tourist district.

lovely BB, we had a big room, the owner did not seem to mind the fact that we originally planned for 4 people and only 2 turned up, she applied the reduced rate (60) and left us the family room, did not ask for credit card details, welcomed us, breakfast was great.
It is not so far off from the centre and buses run frequently at all times. We were made to feel welcome even before we came and felt very comfortable.
