“Worst Pad Thai ever!”
Reviewed 20 February 2014 via mobile

To avoid. The Pad Thai I ordered was not only overpriced but nothing what a Pad Thai should taste and look like. More like chinese noodles with Loads of soya sauce. If you dont mind going to a chinese place, this is your place. My friends indian curries were were also very heavy on sauce.

“Treated like royalty!”
Reviewed 19 February 2014

My wife and I were recently in Edinburgh for the stage production of War Horse so we decided to have the Early Bird menu here when it opened at 5pm. The choice although obviously limited still included some lovely choices with the offer of some side dishes. We were a bit apprehensive as we were the only people in the restaurant but we need not have worried. When the food came it was fresh and extremely tasty and I agree with previous reviewers about the quality of the peshwari naan. In the circumstances the staff could have been over-attentive but no they left us to enjoy our meal in peace. Their attitude was exceptional even enjoying a bit of friendly banter with us. We both agreed it was one of the best Indian meals we have had - quite outstanding in fact for an Early Bird menu. Shamboli will be our first port of call next time we are in Edinburgh.

“Lovely Chicken Passanda”
Reviewed 13 January 2014

Me and friend got there at 10.45pm, and the kitchen was still open! I ordered Chicken Passanda and a peshwari nan bread - they were both amazing, fresh, tasty! I definitely recommend this place for the kindness of the staff and the Indian food! The quality was really excellent and not places are keen to serve food at that time of night! Go if you are around!
