Tikka Massallam and tandoori mixed were both excellent, as was the naan. The complimentary starters of crunchy things and sauces were just so-so, but everything else was very good. The two gentlemen working were very friendly and chatted us up a bit (in a good, invited way). We're glad we checked them out!

Was by myself, looking for an evening meal while on a business trip. Hot an expert in Thai cuisine, had a very pleasant roast duck dish with side dish and rice. Excellent, tasted very good, meat was tender and tasty, and a good selection of vegetabes.

Thought I would give this place a try during Edinburgh trip. Was slightly confused due to some recent reviews but found it to be fabulous. Was busy on a Saturday night as expected with a pleasant atmosphere. Menu reads very well with novel dishes and good selection of drinks. food came in good time and was delicious. Must say its a well run place with experienced and friendly staff. I would definitely recommend to every one to try this restaurant.

We went at Shamoli twice and had one of the best culinary experiences ever! The staff was very helpful and the food served(mix of indian and thai) simply capable to make you try for more. On the second time we went there, we received a complementary dish - a combination of hot&cold dessert that made your body sing! :) You should pay them a visit if you are in Edinburgh.

The facts:
Tuesday evening with 3 colleagues from work, order the Thai "banquet" priced at £27.
Starters looked like a supermarket dim sum set, nothing special.
Noodles and rice were fine,.
Duck dish wasn't great, duck was tough.
Green curry had decent flavour but chicken pieces were minuscule.
Sweet and sour prawns, prawns again were minuscule and unrecognisable.
Their were fritters served at the same time as the main meal, and these were mainly burnt, hard and had something unrecognisable in the middle.

Have eaten in a lot of cities and restaurants, this doesn't stack up especially with a price tag like £27.
Felt totally disappointed afterwards and won't be recommending.
