We ate several times at this restaurant when it was Tusitala and although you could never have described it as fine dining, it was always reasonable food at reasonable prices. When we arrived for lunch today, we were surprised to find that it had changed hands and is now the Charwood Grill.
The menu is now predominantly pizza and steak, which is fine, but a bit much for lunchtime. I decided on the Carbonara, which is one of 3 pasta dishes on offer - it was fine, workmanlike was how my husband described it, and it came with no garlic bread etc. which is a bit lame. My husband had a goat's cheese pizza, which he said was fine, not really a ringing endorsement.
Service was slow and the staff seemed a bit stressed - there was a lot of frantic chatting and smashing of glasses.
I'm not sure how long ago the restaurant changed hands, so this may only be teething problems - we might give it another go if the situation arose, but wouldn't be rushing back.
