I stayed 4 nights and very much enjoyed my stay.Invertruin is a lovely house, spacious and and very well appointed. I stayed in the Lilac room overlooking the garden. I found it as comfortable as a hotel at a much lower price, it was a nice home from home experience. I enjoyed the spacious bathroom and huge bath! The breakfast is very generous, home cooked , and its terrific to be offered a wide range of fresh fruits, I've never seen that before at a band b! Liz is very nice and helpful, you wont regret booking here. There also a bus stop outside the house which takes you to and from the city centre.

Room Tip: All the rooms seemed spacious and comfortable, I stayed in the Lilac Room and enjoyed the view over...

This is a lovely B & B, five of us occupied 2 rooms, both rooms are spacious, well arranged and decorated, very clean and having good view of the garden.

The home cooking breakfast is excellent. Liz is so generous, the breakfast included sausage, mushroom, bacon, egg cooked upon order with our prefer style, the tasty fresh yogurt (yummy) and all fresh berries. It is the best breakfast I had for the whole U.K. trip.

The breakfast room is facing the little beautiful garden with the blooming spring flowers, after taken our breakfast we walked in the little beautiful garden so homely and relaxing.

Location provides easy access to Edinburgh city central. Good and convenient bus service nearby. Bedroom was spacious with modern ensuite and TV. Every aspect of the accommodation was very clean and tidy. Breakfast table - needs to be seen to be appreciated. Fully laden table with many dishes of fresh fruits, breathtaking to see and beautiful full cooked breakfast of your choice to follow. The host very friendly and welcoming. We loved our stay.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Pink room and it's great. Very quiet.

My father and I stayed here and it was our first place in our Scotland trip. We were delighted by Liz's welcome, clean and very lovely accommodations. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful.
The "downtown" area of Edinburgh is a 20-30 minute walk, or you can jump on one of the many buses that come by - which provides a bit of a neat view anyway. All in all this is definitely worthwhile to stay!

Room Tip: Very, very clean and nicely appointed

We absolutely loved the time we spent at Liz's B&B. Our room was very comfortable with a lovely view of the garden; so peaceful to return to after a hectic day of sightseeing. Breakfast was amazing; every morning a different offering of seasonal fruit, with hot cooked breakfast. Liz was a warm host, genuinely interested in our holiday and us. She booked taxis for us when needed; was able to give us accurate directions and good advice on attractions, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and had to leave all too soon.

All the reviews were true. Stayed for 3 days last june 21. Liz (the owner) was very kind and helpful in our needs especially that it was our first time in edinburgh. We had a spacious room and the breakfast was great - it was a super breakfast.!! I highly recommend this place for the tourist/traveller.

Thank you very much Liz for giving us a great and memorable stay in your place.

My friends and I arrived at Invertruin past midnight after a tiring day of traveling and dragging our luggages, expecting to look for the key ourselves (as arranged via email prior to our arrival) but to our surprise, found Liz waiting up for us. The next morning, we woke up to an amazing breakfast spread prepared by her, and it became the reason why we willingly dragged our tired bodies out of bed for the next few mornings. Liz was extremely kind and helpful - she provided information as detailedly as possible, had no qualms printing our boarding passes (even printed them in colour!) etc. - and she really touched our hearts when we realized that she had remembered our personal beverage and bread preferences right after the first morning. Without a doubt, the most wonderful host we've met over the course of our 3-week holiday in UK and Europe!

The room and bathroom were immaculately clean, and there was everything that we possibly needed. It was so comfortable that we were happy to just come back early and laze about in the room. Needless to say, I slept like a baby every night. I also loved that the house is situated outside the city, so it's peaceful and quiet; yet convenient at the same time as the city is just a short bus ride away.

With such a beautiful place that felt like home and a wonderful host who took such great care of us, we were really sad upon leaving. Even till now, we're still missing Liz, her lovely home and delicious breakfast. Will definitely stay at Invertruin when I revisit Edinburgh, and will recommend this place in a heartbeat!
