“A wonderful experience”
Reviewed 30 June 2012

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at Millers 64 on June 29th on the occasion of my Daughter's graduation. This is quite simply one of the best bed and breakfasts that you will ever stay in- wonderful welcome, home cooking, great facilities and extremely comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend this fine location

This was our first trip to Edinburgh and we absolutely loved it. Millers 64 is a wonderful place to stay - beautiful room (the garden suite), gorgeous bed, and fantastic breakfast. Louise's finishing touches really give Millers the edge - homemade treats, lovely bath products, out of the ordinary breakfast menu - I could go on and on...........Can't wait to return

Fresh, tidy and very nie room, and so was the bathroom. Everything very modern, well-kept and in a fresh and nice to see design. Great hospitality, when we arrived, Louise prepared tea for us which we took in the nice atmosphere of the lounge / dining room. And we had a nice chat, even with her mother. Great people!
Breakfast fitted well in these experiences: the porridge was the best of the journey, served with homemade rhubarbs compote. As well the rest of the breakfast - all made from local and good products. And not to forget the freshly prepared smoothie!

We visited millers 64 to celebrate my partners 30th birthday so I was looking for somewhere extra special. We were met with a warm and laid back welcome from Louise on our arrival. Complimentary freshly made coffee provided on our arrival. The room in which we stayed was the Garden Suite - the room met and exceeded my expectation. Loved the little extra in the room - home made shortbread and a beautiful china tea pot and cups and saucers! The house is beautifully decorated in a minimal chic way. Breakfast was divine - I throughly recommend the French toast with bacon and maple syrup. Excellent location - safe parking immediately outside the house. A brisk 10 minute walk into the city or a 2 minute bus ride - bus stops immediately outside the house. I have never stayed in a b&b before and have always stayed in boutique hotels on city stays but I am now converted. We will definitely be returning on our next stay in Edinburgh. Perfect location for exploring the city.

Room Tip: The garden suite - a large bright room over looking the garden.

An amazing stay at Millers 64. Located within walking distance of Edinburgh city centre and all the attractions. Our four night stay was in the Sky Suite, a good sized room, with a large skylight in the bathroom, and an actual bath! The homemade shortbread and Scottish tablet which were in the room along with a selection of teas and coffees, was a nice little treat! Breakfast is excellent, it has to be ordered the night before, and there is a wide choice and a selection of homemade jams and marmalade. Parking is located on the street itself, we had no trouble in finding a space right outside the door. Louise was welcoming, always happy to help, and an excellent host.

A wonderful two night stay in Edinburgh combining business with tourism was enhanced by my stay at Millers 64. Louise’s welcome was relaxed and considerate; a pot of tea was placed in front of me within seconds of arriving and she was extremely helpful in proffering advice on getting around Edinburgh which is a confusing city right now with the tram project. Lots of streets are shut because of the building work. However, Millers 64 is a short 15 minute walk from the city centre and parking in Pilrig Street is plentiful, safe and best of all free! My room was big, the bed extremely comfortable and very nicely furnished. The bathroom was huge, spacious and had the choice of a bath or a shower (which pumped out plenty of hot water at an excellent rate). Breakfasts were superb and Louise provided a form each day so that you can order it in advance and specify what you wanted. The dining room was extremely comfortable and as tastefully furnished as the bedroom. There was a wonderful selection of homemade jams and marmalades to complement the delicious toast! If all this was not enough, a fast and efficient wifi connection was included too!

Our hostess with the mostess Louise went out of her way from the moment we arrived at Millers64 in the early evening, like we were friends re-united, offering our weary souls from an all-day Highland rally (group of two couples) fresh brewed coffee, herbal tea and homemade shortbread cookies/biscuits.

Adorning the walls of our comfy modern rooms were Louise's pics of her childhood days in Malaysia, which made our stay even more personally connected. And her grand bathrooms were kitted out with not just a shower but a separate bath tub as well, and I took advantage of ours twice! Plus soft plush robes for lounging in our rooms were a lovely treat.

Louise even had the request forms waiting for our specially designed breakfast menu, which really goes to show how much she cares about our first meal of the day. We all were very impressed at her grand dining room table of full Scottish brekkie, homemade jams, yogurt pots,
porridge, stewed berries and pumpkin seed bread along with country white slices for toast.

I can heartily recommend Millers64 for your b&b choice, it's truly a very special home away from home. Can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: All the rooms at Millers64 were of high standard.
