Great, cozy little pub. Strange to have such a place in the city centre. The drinks are incredibly reasonably priced, and served to a better standard than we could've hoped for. The choice of music available is astounding, I'm sure they said they had over 80,000 tracks in their library! The staff were brilliant, we only met two of them so not sure if there are more. A very merry Christmas to Jc and Shona, thank you for making our holiday!! We'll definitely be back to Edinburgh and Lord Bodo's! Xxx

Just walk inside - the staff and regulars are instantly your life-long chums. Good drinks, good prices, and a great atmosphere of people genuinely enjoying life in the heart of a beautiful city. What more can you ask for?

warm welcome, brilliant atmosphere, music of your choice and free, inexpensive drinks. Stuart is great, ask him about black pudding.
For a chill out and a bit of fun - lovely.

Tucked away in a basement on the corner of Dublin St and York Place you could easily miss this hidden neighbourhood gem.

Bodos is extremely handy for the Stand Comedy Club, the Playhouse or Edinburgh’s main bus and train stations, and drinks prices are surprisingly reasonable considering the pub’s close proximity to the city centre

I think the main draw though is the welcome you get from the staff here, they’re really great and make you feel like you've been transported to a friendly country pub. . . I would be comfortable going here alone and know I’d be guaranteed to get a good natter.

Shame the tram works are keeping folk away from York Place, lets hope it doesn't affect Lord Bodos.

After stumbling across Lord Bodos for the first time three months ago, we can safely say its our number one choice for a great pub in Edinburgh. The staff lead by manager Shona are just a great bunch of lads! Honestly could not fault anything about the pub. Prices are reasonable, great selection of drink and the regulars are amongst the warmest and friendliness in town.
We would highly reccomed Shona's menthe&baileys shot, it goes down a treat :)

No matter how busy we are...there is always time for Bodo's o'clock!

Cheers, Jolene and Iain :P
