Description: Our newest and largest venture, Cafe Andaluz hopes to bring a little bit of Spain to George Street, Edinburgh. Sharing tapas is a great way to eat socially and we make our dishes fresh and as varied as possible. All our dishes are prepared using the best raw materials and are all prepared on the premises. Our wines are sourced solely from Spain and our Sangria is made from traditional recipes passed down through generations. Our staff will always be available to offer advice on menu choices and recommend some of their favourites.

Four people of us went last night to celebrate my son's graduation. Great value for money. Different tapas than the standard fare. Particularly recommend patatas gratinadas. Only criticism these restaurants are only in Scotland. Think they should consider moving south of the border. (Liverpool first please) ☺

I visited here for my sisters birthday and there was a group of 15 of us. Firstly the waiter couldn’t understand what we wanted for drinks and it took us several attempts to tell her and near enough shout at the poor girl. Once the drinks arrived a few of them were still wrong.

On several occasions we asked different wait staff to turn down the AC as it was like a freezer upstairs (where we were sitting), downstairs was an adequate comfortable temperature so didn’t understand why upstairs was so bitter.

The food was below average. Several dishes had to be sent back as they came out cold and even still I think they were just blasted in the microwave and not freshly made. The meatballs had grizzle in them which completely puts me off my food.

Some of the dishes were okay with added seasoning by myself.

Will definitely not be visiting here again.

We felt like having some tapas and found this place quickly. Reviews are good and they really are justified. We had sangria which was great and then we ordered five different tapas dishes to share between two. All were delicious, the best was the paella which was spicy and flavourful! The croquettas were also really good! King prawns were also yummy! Would definitely recommend if you want a good tapas meal in a buzzing restaurant.

This café is a must when you're in Edinburgh. It's comfortable, nicely decorated and not nearly as noisy as most others. It's more than a pub. It's a great sit-down restaurant where you can enjoy a leisurely meal with friends and/or family. And, there are so many choices.

A good variety of beers, too, and a staff that's very interested in pleasing you.

There's a terrific variety of tapas offerings, but you better be hungry; the servings are generous.

My wife and I were able to handle three different dishes. Barely.

They were all excellent, but two especially terrific ones were the eggplant and paella dishes. And, true to every pub and restaurant we enjoyed throughout Scotland, the hot foods were served very hot. Right out of the oven!

Also, it's within an easy walk of the Royal Mile and a number of hotels in the immediate area.

Popped in here for lunch on a recent visit to Edinburgh. Had eaten tapas before but not for a long time. Even on a mid-week lunchtime the place was really busy, and it soon became clear why. Great menu, broken up into easy to understand sections for the tapas novice and great value combinations available to make the mix and match approach easier. Staff were very knowledgable and able to explain each dish and make suggestions. Food was delivered promptly and every dish was delicious. Great food washed down with a lovely glass of Spanish red - loved it !!
