I was one of the guests who stayed in this apartment and unfortunately I have to say that it was a bad experience. The flat itself is nice and the terrace is a great addition, however, what ruined all the nice impression was the apartment owner. At the arrival, the owner kept asking us how are we going to arrive, even though we stated multiple times that we will use our own transport and we just need to know where and when we can meet with her (as we wanted to make it easier for her). Eventually, the owner somehow took offence and we were told that we can pickup the keys in some take-away shop nearby. Also as a bonus, we ended up being accused of refusing to provide information about our arrival...
Unfortunately, the apartment was missing basic things like sugar, soap or shower gel, what is very inconvenient. I understand this is not a hotel, but such things are a must even in very low cost accommodations. This would not be a big issue, however, instead of an apology for not providing those things we were only insulted by the owner in her comment. This is totally unacceptable behaviour in professional as well as personal manner.
Ultimately, the owner wrote untruthful information in her review of our stay, which furtherly underlines her unprofessionality by attacking her own guests for her own defence.
Nice apartment but 1 star for owner's attitude.
The flat is overall a nice place - very modern, spacious, and it has a great balcony. However, it lacked lots of things such as sugar, cream to coffee, and the most important, shower gel or soap as there was none. Besides, I found the communication from the owner's side quite offensive. Overall, I would not choose this accommodation again.
Great apartment stylish well equipped and clean good bus links to everything you need on the tourist list !!
Loved having a birds eye view over leith.
Would stay again
Great little apartment well designed for four people Great space and balcony has good views Owner very helpful too
This is a great little apartment within walking distance of every restaurant, attraction or shop that you desire near Edinburgh's city centre. The division of the spare room is well done and it has a great view from the balcony for just contemplating and taking it all in. All amenities are provided with the exception of a colander which I could not seem to find - nit picking...
Any negatives were quickly outweighed but if I had to list them they would be these. The key didn't work accessing through the car park which meant you had to enter through the main front door to the building with your luggage and the front door defiantly has a knack to opening it. This is not the fault of the owner as obviously it is a shared block of flats. The TV is great nice and big but almost too big for the seating. To comfortably watch it you had to sit at the dining table. Minor point. Over all well thought out, nicely decorated, well appointed, well provisioned in fact everything you need. Job well done by the team that converted it.
