Stayed here for 4 nights on honeymoon. Upon check-in, we were upgraded to a deluxe room (we had mentioned that we were on honeymoon when we booked the hotel online). There was also a bottle of wine in the room with a nice note from the hotel. The room was gorgeous with great views of the city. The bed was very comfortable. We had free wifi for the duration of our stay. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Breakfast was great with a very good selection on offer. The location of the hotel is ideal, being a stroll away from the main shopping area of Prince Street. We did not eat in the restaurant but seemed to be busy a lot. They have a lovely hotel bar as well. The spa is very small but offers a good selection of treatments. The pool is adequate but I found the temperature a little cold! I will most definitely stay here again when I am in Edinburgh...excellent place....thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We were a party of 6 enjoying a lon weekend in Edinburgh. The staff are very welcoming. The only negative was that the bathroom was freezing, but that was due to the weather and very large windows in the bathroom.

After reading the great reviews I booked to stay here. I wanted a nice hotel in a central location with leisure facilities and the hotel lived up to this. There is a back exit that opens up 50years from an entrance to waverly station (dont think you can enter this way though)

The first room we were put in (327) was cold, echoed and did not have the king size bed advertized on the website. The noise from the outside and corridor bounced round the high ceilinged room. So we called the desk to see another room. Although the hotel was busy the staff at the desk (Kelly) were very helpful and sent someone to help us with our stuff into another room (410). This room was perfect, cozy, king sized bed. We also had to call to get our bedding changed over to feather-free and this was also done swiftly. SPOTLESS ROOMS!

Breakfast was nice, although it comes to your table so quickly that you cannot finish your fruit or cereal from the buffet. Also there were no beans or condiments offered with your breakfast and if you ask for things to be left off your plate they do not compensate by giving you extra items.

The pool is rather small but lovely, the sauna and steamroom were great too.

Very close to the playhouse, omni center, st james centre with loads of lovely restaurants near by

All in all friendly attentive staff, lovely hotel and facilities.

Room Tip: We favoured room 401 in the newer part of the hotel as it was warmer and quieter than 327

You can't beat this location if you are taking the train. So close about a 5 minute walk. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. The room service is nice and quick. Loved the food we ordered from downstairs. The bar downstairs is cool and the staff very nice. I wasn't a huge fan of the concierge, he seemed annoyed by our questions. But that was not that big a deal. We went against the grain and took a taxi over to the marina and had an awesome seafood dinner with the locals. The hotel is still close enough to walk to the royal mile and the castle (everything is fairly close in the city)

The location is great. 03 minutes walking from waverley station and very close to the main attractions of Edinburgh. The room and bathroom were big and very clean. The staff was ok. Free wi-fi with very good connection. Good value comparing to others hotels of same category. All in all we enjoyed our stay and recomend the hotel.
