Lovely, friendly service. Great premises plus fab views if you get a window seat. Coffee is very good. Have been twice since it opened and will be back again soon. Homemade scones would be a great addition or did I just miss them.

Live locally so was looking forward to this place opening, it was a great start but now you get food and dogs! ..6 dogs on Friday 3 with one woman who were all wet ! She only bought a small coffee. I wouldn't dream of taking my dog in to a cafe, mentioned it to staff and told its was the local market! ...good luck dogs don't buy food or coffee. Sorry I and my 3 friends won't be back ..

Been at Cafe Miro at Portebello beach and it's a dog friendly cafe. Had coffee and breakfast here. It's clean, great, dog friendly, super food and a great staff. And not but not least at the promenade opposite the beach.

A fabulous addition to Portobello this is a lovely cafe/restaurant on the prom. Pizzas, burgers, fish and pasta were all very tasty and deserts also very good. We have visited twice and the service was friendly although pushed hard as rather short staffed - perhaps the large numbers of customers hadn't been anticipated fully. All in all a super place to visit for a coffee, a beer or a meal.

My husband and I visited this 'new' restaurant on Portobello Prom on Hogmanay. Staff were very welcoming and we were shown to our seats and given menus.

The menu offers a good selection. Pizza, pasta, fish, steak. A good variety. We ordered our starters, one battered prawns and one Portobello mushroom for starter. Absolutely delicious. The mains were equally delicious. Seafood Linguini and Carbonara. Decent sized portions and very tasty. Unfortunately no room for pudding. In terms of drinks, a good selection but not loads to choose from which makes is easier.

In terms of décor and the overall experience, this place has had a complete overhaul. Love the stone walls and décor, however we found it rather chilly. There are lovely open fireplaces but they have a terrible cold draft coming down. Noticed that most people kept jumpers or cardigans on, me included. Café Miro's also welcome dogs. Lovely for dog owners but not so much for people who aren't the biggest fans. Personally I found it rather unhygienic to be sitting next to a woman who had her dog sitting on her lap with its paws on the table.

Overall, it is a lovely wee restaurant, offering good food and good service. In my opinion it has its negatives but still thought it deserved a 'Very Good' rather than an 'Average'. We'll happily make a return visit.
