Description: Khushi Punjabi is family owned and operated right here in Edinburgh, Lothian. Since our restaurant opened in 1983, we’ve treated every customer like they were a part of our family. Other restaurants may offer similar services, but our legendary reputation for large portions and great food means that you get great value for money and a personal service that others can rarely match.

We had a chicken curry, lamb massala, vegetable side dish with naan and rice. We asked for mild to medium in heat and it was just right. The meal was very tastey and the naan was a little crispy without being dry. Enjoyed our meal very much.

It's not a big place, but Mr Khushi produces some of the best Punjabi flavours I've ever tasted. This is a boutique family run restaurant where the service is quiet and efficient yet friendly enough. Try the karahi lamb saag- absolutely beautiful! Chicken chaat, fish pakora, tandoori dishes, vegetable sides, and so on- all beautifully spiced, but only as hot as you want. Highly recommended.

this little restaurant is indeed a rare find, a simple and honest place serving delicious home cooked real Indian/Punjabi food. the feeling here is of being a welcome guest in a Punjabi family home. the integrity and genuine warmth of this little place takes it a long way from the often usual mediocrity of many restaurants, the quality of the food is exceptional, I feel that many of khushi's competitors whom often do claim greatness would be humbled by the quality, values, and integrity of this little gem.
lastly when you have finished your meal you will not be presented with a inflated bill, merely a fair price. if you had a takeaway you would be 15% less and if you came Monday to Friday you can bring your own. khushi Punjabi restaurant you are a shinning light, a credit not only to the Scottish Punjabi community but to Scotland .thank you.

Great service from staff who enjoy their work. Brilliant food. I had a fish dish that was very tasty and had plenty of fish. I tasted the other dishes and they were great but too hot for some.

Maybe staff could advise about heat etc.

On Monday 21st July 2014 four friends and myself visited Khushi Pnjabi, one of the friends was on holiday from Australia as usual we were all made at home the minute we arrived, I then discovered that three of them had "sneeked" in on the Saturday previously and loved the place as I do.
We all had a beautiful meal again the friend from Australia had a fish dish as he is a vegetarian and thought it one of the best meals he had ever had in an Indian restaurant anywhere.
Once again I advise anyone living in or visiting Edinburgh and you like good Indian cuisine visit this restaurant and you will definitely do so again and again.
A word of advice do not confuse this with the larger Kushis in Leith Street opposite the Playhouse.
