Used to love this place but this time was not good. Moved check in time to 4 NO SUGAR IN THE HOTEL FOR TEA. one lift that has been out of order for more than a week suggesting they’ve switched it off to save money. Some of the staff not so friendly. Premier Inn going downhill

Great 3 night stay July 2021. Booked a bigger room. Clean & tidy room. Very comfortable King size bed. Quiet. Great sleep each night. Lovely cool air conditioning. High tech head board controls lights & air con. Complimentary bottles of mineral water. Monsoon shower. Clean towels & extra pillows on request. Staff very helpful & polite. Complimentary mineral water bottles. Check in is now 4pm. If you arrive early cases are stored with tickets. Check out Noon. To get to hotel from Waverley Station walk down Princes Street go past Scott’s Monument head towards the Art gallery cross road & head up Hanover Street and turn left down Rose Street. The Hub is just before Primark on your left. From Hanover Street we got a taxi to Holyrood Palace £6. From Holyrood to Castle taxi is £8. To go to Royal Yacht Britannia quickest bus is the 22 outside Holland & Barrett on Princes Street (almost opposite Waverley). For a lovely breakfast try Dishoom on St Andrew’s Square. For a lovely Italian meal go to Mama Roma York Place opposite Theatre. Highly recommend- can’t wait to return. Well done Rose Street Hub Team.

To start with the location of the Hub is great - central for all you need - pubs / restaurants / shops / castle etc. Check in was ok - only one lift working which to be honest didn’t cause too much hassle. In one of the smaller rooms for two nights & very compact - on 4th floor. Quiet no problem with noise at all. Room functional but was just way too small for us and hated limited space for clothes - tv / shower etc all fine & breakfast great - staff very pleasant however towels never changed and when asked to change them they never arrived. I will stick with normal premier inns in future just for extra space - great location / good value but probably better suited to younger travellers.

Room tip: Top floor room & larger room

I’ve visited the other Hub in Haymarket and that was also very impressive. Book well in advance and great rates can be had. I’ve stayed in both the standard rooms and the larger ones. The standard rooms may mean one side of the double bed is against a wall therefore, there may be issues during the evenings fine of the guests require a toilet stop! I’ve chosen a larger room on subsequent visits and these rooms are spacious, modern and always clean. Staff very helpful and are more than happy to care for your luggage prior to or after check out. Just a few minutes walk to Princes Street. No parking available due to its central location, however I’ve parked in London Road which is about a 15min walk and free to park at the weekends. Out with the weekend, parking rates are reasonable

The hotel was very sleek, clean and modern. A little small but that was no bother to me as I was solo.

The staff were lovely, location also perfect for a mini break!! - no more than 10/15 mins away from anything in edinburgh.

Only thing I'd say is there's no kettle / fridge in the room which was is bit annoying if you're taking food and drink. - I arrived with fresh fruit and had to throw it away, also means you can't have a chilled glass of anything....

Other than that can't big this place up enough for the price you pay!
