First class, fantastic and consistent service at this trendy and relaxing boutique hotel. It is in a brilliant location, although to be honest, you may choose not to leave the hotel as the rooms are really well designed and stocked - complimentary mini bar and movies! We will absolutely go back!

Visited the Missoni as a wee treat during a brief stopover in Edinburgh. I Cannot recommend this place enough. I stayed over with my wife and 10 month old daughter, and we were treated so well it was unbelievable. The staff could not do enough for us, and made sure our daughter was happy in every way. I was worried at first about how family friendly the hotel would be given its 5 star rating and 'place to be' status (busy bar on entry to the hotel). This was 100% unfounded and the hotel was totally amazing with the family. The Cucina Restaurant was not only delicious in every course, but again the staff made our night one to remember. They could not get enough of our daughter, going as far as lifting her for cuddles and talking to her on every pass of the table (possibly not everyone's cup of tea, but it really enhanced the family friendly atmosphere) .
We paid for valet parking, which we thought was a little expensive at first, but turned out to be a great investment given the great assistance of the door men. Unpacking a house worth of toys and comforts for the wee one takes time and effort, but not so with the doormen. Check in was effortless. We were early, but put us on a priority list and phoned us when room ready. Unfortunately, I left my phone in the car when it was valet parked. One call to reception and phone was delivered to room in 5 minutes. Bags were delivered to our room while we were out for a walk. Room itself was huge, trendy and well equipped. Travel cot made up and room turned down in the evening while we were in the restaurant. TV had plenty of movies to select from, and as usual the kiddies selection took over. Breakfast was tremendous also, plenty of choice. The staff remembered us from the night before and were fussing over our daughter again (all in a good way) checking if she needed porridge, fruit, etc.
The attention we got during our stay was phenomenal, totally endorsing it's 5 star rating. Abolute must for anyone visiting Edinburgh with a family, very central and convenient for castle, etc. Thanks to all at the Missoni !!!

The hotel is in a great location, perfect for a short stay in Edinburgh and ease of getting around the city. I had booked in for my boyfriends birthday and they had put in a birthday card and small fruit tart as well as the champagne I had ordered in our room.
I had the Eve Lom Signature Facial which I can highly recommend. Total bliss. It was a shame that I had booked us in for dinner after, as I could of happily gone upstairs to sleep.
There was a great selection for breakfast, hot and cold. We didn't have time to eat in the restaurant, but the menu looked great. We did however have time for cocktails and loved the Cosmopolitans. Yum.
If you're a fan of Missoni prints you will love everything about the design and attention detail. I particularly liked the robes and wish I had one at home. The beds are possibly the most comfortable we have ever slept in, the rooms are very quiet and total black out for light sleepers.
Overall a great experience and would definitely return.

This hotel is amazing! Really cool rooms, fantastic breakfast, lovely Missoni decor in vibrant bright colours, and complimentary mini bar. Could not fault the staff they were really helpful and friendly. Great location right next to the castle and on the Royal Mile. Really worth a stay at this hotel, had the best night's sleep in a long time!

The hotel has a very vibrant, comtemporary feel to it and the location is fantastic. I personally found the room a little too modern but my girlfriend loved the design, so it's very much a matter of opinion.

In summary: based on the location, quality of staff service, the fairness of the price (free wi-fi, movies, mini bar, clothes pressing etc) I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Edinburgh - you certainly won't be disappointed. Well worth the 5* rating.
