This hotel was perfection from start to finish for really quite a reasonable price considering the rating and quality of the place.

The hotel is located in the most central location in Edinburgh so you can easily walk to any of the usual sights you would want to see on a trip to the city, whilst also being perfectly located for shopping, drinks and eating out.

Every last detail has been covered within the hotel, from the decor inside the lift to the kilt they have the porters wear (very chic!). The rooms themselves are just perfect and again every detail has been accounted for. The beds are king size and decked out in the signature Missoni style with pillows, cushions and a throw. The room had a coffee machine and TV set up with lots of free movies and different interactive services. From our room we also had spectacular views of the castle and city with our floor to ceiling windows. The bathroom was particularly modern with a sound system set up to be able to listen to music.

All of the staff were really pleasant and helpful...and finally what can't be forgotten is the amount of amazing freebies that came with the room, a free healthy mini bar, coffees and teas with biscuits and some amazing toiletries and slippers!

Room Tip: For some gorgeous mojitos and other unique cocktails go out the front of the hotel, cross the road a...

Convenient location rooms are very cool think the lift was designed by paul Mcsmith. Gym is a waste of time and thought it would have a sauna pool etc being 5 star. if your not bothered about that its perfect.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and would highly recommend it.

Location - It's right next to the Royal Mile. It's perfectly located to explore Edinburgh.

Rooms - they are nicely appointed in a modern/funky way. It is Hotel Missoni after all. At first we were given a tiny room, but the front desk kindly moved us to a larger one upon request and at no additional charge. The slippers and note pad are a nice touch as well as the minibar (free). The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. The only complain was the TV, think more of a large computer screen. We didn't have to time to watch so it was fine, but a larger screen would have been nice. The bathrooms were spacious and nice, although the shower water tended to overflow.

Service - The service of the front desk and bell boys was excellent. The only thing that needs work is the concierge desk; it was more of a makeshift desk with someone that had no training in how to be a concierge. It was better to ask the front desk staff; they seemed much more capable.

Food - We opted for the full breakfast package, and it was worth it. They'd bring it to your room if you wanted. The selections were plentiful and the omelets delicious!

I thought they'd have Missoni shop inside the hotel, but all they had was a window with few items that no one seemed to know the price or find the key to open it.

I'd highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Edinburgh.

We stayed for two nights mid week. Room 507 has a brilliant view of the castle with it's floor to ceiling windows, real wow factor. The staff are excellent and are what make this hotel so good. I rang to ask for some more tea bags (rock and roll I know) and they arrived within 3 minutes. The bed and bedding were lush, so much so that I have bought a mattress topper since returning home. Breakfast was lovely and was included in our room rate. We had a complimentary mini bar including beer and wine. I used the free laundry service which was fast and efficient. Edinburgh is noisy at night but we heard nothing on the 5th floor. I had a quick peek in room 503 (the best suite) which has the most stunning views of Arthur's seat. We had cocktails at the bar which were great as well - nice nibbles. I would recommend this hotel

Stayed here as part of a tour group recenlty. HOtel is beautiful and the staff very efficient and friendly and everything has been thought of. Breakfast had a huge variety even cake if you felt like cake for breakfast. Used a huge amount of colours in the decor but it works well. By far the best hotel of all the ones we stayed at whilst on a tour with Insight.

We spent one night at The Missoni Hotel and it is a very good hotel. The staff are excellent and several really nice touches make it a cut above a lot of other hotels; great bedding and towels, quirky, modern decor, nespresso machine in room, free mini bar (soft drinks), turn down service, great quality TV in room, superb location - *except* no sleep due to our room being at the back of the hotel, which was packed with revellers and a night club open until 3am! Very noisy!

Also, although there was air con in our room, you cannot open any windows for fresh air; which made me feel a little claustrophobic. I would stay here again, but I would make sure that I took good quality ear plugs!

Room Tip: Refuse room at back if staying at a weekend.
