I stayed at Edinburgh House one weekend this September. I really appreciated being "put up" at a very short notice when I arrived in Edinburgh late at night. Marella was very helpful and friendly trying to do her best to make me feel welcome. The room was spick-and-span, cosy and "well-equipped" with all one would need in case of very rushed packing. I really enjoyed breakfasts - very varied and nicely cooked. Marella does come across as a person who really cares and loves what she is doing. Last but not least, this place has a certain character, feels "very Scottish" and ideal for those who want to have a truly Scottish "get-away". I would definitely recommend it!

We stayed at Edinburgh House during the last weekend of The Festival. Mirella, the proprietor, was a delight! Very friendly, helpful, and with good humour. She even packed us a lunch to take during a day long trip to Loch Ness!
Our room was large, clean, nicely furnished, with a large, clean, tiled en suite bath. The room was nice, though the mattress a bit soft for our liking.
Location is good with about 10-15 minute walk into the old town. I would stay here again during my next trip to Edinburgh.

Edinburgh House is spotlessly clean and Marella is a charming hostess. She is
so happy in the mornings.....its a pleasure to go down to breakfast.
The choice and quality of breakfast is brilliant and very well cooked.
The rooms are well stocked with clean towells, shampoos and other bits and
pieces which one always forgets to take for a short break so that adds to the ]
overall feeling of a home from home. Beds and pillows are very comfortable,
good choice of tea, coffee, chocolate sachets which again is a plus. Also
the daily room cleaning is obviously completed by a person with a great eye
for detail and desire to leave the room well and truly serviced to perfection.
Many congratulations to her as well!

Overall I would definitely recommend a stay with Marella. We stayed for three nights and would happily have stayed longer but had to get back to work!
If we visit Edinburgh again we would definitely stay at the Edinburgh House

Last week we were at this B & B and all was great. Great room, spacious bathroom. Mirella, the owner, is very friendly and attentive. (Huge) breakfasts you can choose made by herself. Very warmtreatment . Free wi-fi.
Good situation, 10-15 minutes walk from Old Town. Quiet street, no traffic, bars...
If I return to Edinburgh, will stay there again .... 100% Recommended!

We travelled by car to Scotland from London. We did not pre book but asked upon arrival for availability. Was met by Mirella who was most helpful and obliging. Rooms were clean and comfortable and all the little extras you need while travelling. Body wash, hand wash, coffee & tea facilities were all good brands, so there was no scimping on quality here. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of it. The chats with Mirella over a cuppa was very personal and just shows the friendliness of the the lovely Scottish people.
Location was perfect. could walk to all restaurants and transport fascilities on offer here.
I would not hesitate to stay here again and would like to thank Mirella for a very pleasant and friendly stay.

The place is well located, you can go to so many touristic places by walking or just getting a bus; the staff are very warm, friendly and helpful; the rooms are really big and nice decorated, you can find a warm bed and all the things you will need in the room. The breakfast is huge and well prepared, and there are a lot of restaurants and nice pubs quite close. My friends, my wife and I found it a very nice place to stay. We will definitely comeback and we for sure recommend it.
