Well-prepared and presented meals for a good price! The staff is friendly and very accommodating in meeting individual tastes. Recently converted to a bring your own bottle establishment, the Prince doesn't charge an extra fee for BYOB and there is a Sainsbury's Market right next to the restaurant to sell you wine or beer at grocery store prices. Nice!

A very quiet restaurant with very good Indian food. The service was very good, the only thing I would say is that the rice portions could be a bit bigger, otherwise it was excellent.

We travel to Edinburgh several times each year by train for weekend breaks with friends. We have eaten at a few Indian Restaurants in the City including on the Royal Mile and have not found any to be as good as The Prince Of India. We stay in a Hotel in the Haymarket area and found this Restaurant quite by chance because it was nearby. The reviews were good so we gave it a try and I have to say it was better than any of the others Indian Restaurants we have been to in the City. The staff were very friendly and the food was very tasty and also plentiful and of very good quality.. If you are looking for a curry look no further than here and avoid the attractive looking Royal Mile Rip Off type and go here... sure you wont be disappointed.. We will be returning in the Summer..

Visited and asked for the beet the clock 3 course offer at £7.95 per person and asked for 2 x cobra beers.
The food was average but when we got the bill we had been charged £10.00 for 2 beers! Beware!
