For 3 people in 2 rooms total cost £49.00, and considering it was less than a minutes walk from princes street. Room was well equipped and clean. Ironing board, iron, kettle tea and coffee, hairdryer and plenty of towels. Bed was very comfortable. ONLY negative was no hot water in bathroom, however I did not raise this with the staff but I'm 100% sure if I had they would have dealt with it as they were all very helpful and nice. Will definitely return next year fro xmas shopping.

Originally when we arrived in Edinburgh, we were booked into another hotel but, due to the company with which we had booked going into administration, there was no room available for us. We quickly phoned around and managed to get a room at Cityroomz. The receptionist, Shelagh, went out of her way to accommodate our needs and switched round her bookings to make sure that we got all 3 nights in the same double room.

The hotel was quite basic but clean and had recently been refurbished. We had a room at the back which was quiet and had a decent-sized bathroom and a comfy bed. There was a TV and a safety deposit box. When we were searching for hotels in Edinburgh originally, we rejected this hotel due to the decor but, in fact, the loud wall in the photos is simply a feature wall and we could easily relax.

The breakfast was very good value - a choice of cereals, warm baguettes, croissants and pastries, ham, cheese and fruit. There was also a big selection of hot drinks and some different fruit juices.

The location was ideal. Cityroomz is next door to a Morrison local, so we were able to pop in to get a meal deal before heading off sightseeing each day. The hotel is on the corner of Princes Street, close to plenty of restaurants for the evenings and the shops. The bus stop to get to Leith for the Royal Yacht Britannia is just around the corner. The Royal Mile is also in easy walking distance but it was great to be out of the thick of it so as to get a decent night's sleep.

We would definitely book this hotel again if we were wanting to re-visit Edinburgh and would recommend it to anyone else, too. The only thing you may want to check out is how to get to breakfast without having to manage any stairs if you have a mobility issue (there were only a few steps though).

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days in October while visiting Edinburgh. The hotel was close to all of the places we wanted to see. It was convenient to restaurants, pubs, markets and transportation. We encountered a wonderful staff member, Shelagh, who came to our rescue. Inadvertently, we left all of our travelling cash in the room safe. Shelagh phoned us in Ireland to inform us of this. She came to our rescue! She arranged to have the money wired to us so we could pick it up in Ireland and continue our holiday. Every aspect of our visit to this hotel was wonderful and this particular aspect proved it! Shelagh is an angel! Thank you!

This is as described, simple accommodation but comfortable and clean and a great location. The buffet breakfast for £4.95 was very good value, with good choices and very well organised. Be aware that if you need to check in online and print passes for flights you will be directed to an internet cafe as there are no facilities for guests use. Would use again.

Thank you for your kind review. I do however apologise for not being able to print your flight passes on this occasion, as we are generally more than happy to print passes if you simply email them to us (using our free wi-fi service). The only possible reason for not printing a pass is if we had a problem with our printer or could not receive your email, otherwise we are always here to help. Best regards

2 minutes walk from princess street. Room is nice and simple. For the price we paid I think it is a very good hotel. I opted not to take the breakfast, but breakfast was 5 sterling per person so it was not expensive.
