Had a great stay here in October and the rooms were comfortable and very warm and you are close to the centre of Edinburgh. There are shops close by where you can get food or drinks for a day out. Only a 10 minute walk along Princes street and your in the centre. Would definitely stay here again and as the road was closed that the hotel was on it meant it was quiet as no traffic could come along the street.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel so you are not on the street

We spent 2 nights here for the weekend recently and could not be happier with the experience. The location is hard to beat being only a few steps away from Princes Street and the gardens. Parking was a breeze which cannot often be said for Edinburgh City centre as the Castle Street NCP is just around the corner at a discounted rate! Although on a busy road the rooms are perfectly quiet. The staff (Simone in particular) were friendly and informative and helped us out with recommending local restaurants and how to get there. The rooms were clean and spacious and the hot shower certainly was welcoming after being out and about in the cold. We were pleasantly surprised by the continental breakfast each morning which had plenty of variety and good strong coffee too....much needed after enjoying the many pubs of Edinburgh's West End. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will (already have in fact) recommend this hotel to all our friends and family wishing to visit Edinburgh. Will be back for sure.

We stayed here at the beginning November and it was perfect for our needs. The hotel was clean and tidy and the staff were polite when we checked in. On arriving in our room we were pleasantly surprised due to the very reasonably price we paid for our two night stay. the room was clean and beautifully presented. We were concerned that for the price it would be full of stag and hen do's and quite loud but this was certainly not the case on our level. Excellent place if you plan on being out the room a lot, although very comfortable and reasonable for the price.

After much research to find a highly rated hotel in Edinburgh without having to break the bank we settled on Cityroomz and were not disappointed. When we return to Edinburgh, we will not choose anywhere else to stay.

Positives
• The staff. Probably the friendliest hotel we have stayed in. Linda, Jim and Nikki in
particular were lovely and welcoming and made our stay memorable.
• The location was good. The bus from the airport drops you off just opposite the hotel
and the bus back is literally a step outside the hotel. It was then about a 20 minute walk
to the Royal Mile and a minute to the top of Princes Street. There are nice restaurants
close by (including Kyloe) and if you don’t fancy the 20 minute walk to the Royal Mile
there always seem to be plenty of buses about.
• The room was a good size and was cleaned every day (including fresh towels).
• Free wifi!
• A great value breakfast at £4.95 in a lovely breakfast room. They really could charge
more and we’d still be happy.
• Use of a safe (without charge).

Negatives
• We didn’t sleep too well (nothing to do with the comfortable bed). We had a room facing
the street and I thought the window was on the latch because of the noise but it wasn’t.
Our 3 night stay included a Saturday which was particularly noisy. However, we would
certainly stay here again but just take ear plugs.
• The bathroom floor should be in a nightclub. Tiles would be much better.

Given the limited negatives and balancing these with all the positives and the actual price paid, you cannot go wrong choosing to stay here.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not facing the street.

Good nights sleep as the bed was so comfortable, breakfast was a bargain and all you could eat. Dani on the desk was really friendly and showed us places to visit. Perfect stay in Edinburgh. Easily accessible by public transport and just of princess street and near castle! Great location.

Such a good location, bang in the centre of town. Walking distance of different attractions. Room was very cosy and just right size, very comfortable. We had bunk beds but there were options for double rooms but this was right for our overnight stay. Only thing I would say was the reception on tv was not good but we were not fussed by this. Staff extremely friendly and very helpful and polite. Would be happy to stay there again, great value for money.
