“Lovely time”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 June 2013

We stayed at Casa Buzzo in Edinburgh for several days and loved it. My husband and I had booked several excursions from Edinburgh to other parts of Scotland, one of which would take us away from Edinburgh for three days. Louisa, the proprietress, let us keep most of our luggage in the house while we were away, no extra charge. She also made sure we had a cold breakfast (cereal, fruit, sandwiches) on the mornings we were there but due to the times of our tours could not make the hot breakfast.

Louisa is a lovely woman, easy to get ahold of if you need something ("just ring the wee bell") at any hour of the night and very interested in keeping her guests content. She recommended restaurants and attractions, and made a few phone calls in our interest.

The rooms were warm and not too small for a B&B, with beautifully maintained lace curtains in the windows and decorations on all the walls. Towels for the shower were heated on a wall unit beforehand. Dining room also had great decorations from Italy, where Louisa's parents originate. Located about a 5 minute walk from the bus stop, from which it was a 10 minute ride to the Royal Mile.

All in all a lovely wonderful experience. Would recommend and would stay there again!

Dear Mrs Birnie who runs Casa Buzzo, Guest house in Edinburgh was a delight. The place was beautifully kept and Mrs Birinie was there every morning of our stay to chat and provide us with great service, beautiful food and plenty of hints and tips on the sights of Edinburgh. A glass of 'Bucks Fizz' greeted us at breakfast on New Year's Day. This was the start to our trip around Scotland and we felt instantly at home. Within a light stroll to the centre of Edinburgh, with lovely rooms and a hearty breakfast. Highly recommended!!!!!

Room Tip: All rooms and very quiet

Casa Buzzo is a very nice and calm place to stay for your leisure trips in Edinburgh, as it is located just ~10 min. by bus to the city center or 30 min.walk. Buses are frequent and cost just 1.2p/single, or 3p/day ticket.
As for the guest house itself, it is very good as well. The owner is very attentive and kind, is always willing to provide you with personal approach and the choice of breakfasts. She is italian originally, so you can feel "dolce vita" all around the house, so many italian details in decoration, which is amazing!
Would definately return!
