What a lovely little gem this place is. We came down Arthur's seat in the middle of winter, almost frozen to death and decided to stumble in here just to avoid the cold. Had some wonderful cream tea and came back to life again. The place is very pretty and instantly makes you feel comfortable, no matter how bad your day's been. Definitely wanna go there again!

I stumbled into Clarinda's for a bite on my walk back from Holyrood Palace, and what a treat! It's quaint and inviting, the staff is lovely, and it's inexpensive. I had a pot of Scottish tea and a slice of gingerbread for just over £4! One might have to share a table, but that just makes it all the more interesting. Go there.

Hopefully they still serve the potato with the breakfast and a real pot of tea, Not many places offer an alternative type of breakfast, but this was one, out of the fry up and not expensive hotel types.

Perfect place to have an afternoon tea. Or breakfast. Or even lunch. Actually just visit this place anytime. The decoration is very lovely and comfy, and complimented by the very nice owners, it felt like I was visiting a relative's place. I used to visit this place at least once a week while I was living in Edinburgh, and I was never once disappointed either by their menus or their service. Their scones and tea are the best, but my personal favourite is their banana cake!
