“Perfect lunch”

We both had the sandwiches with the side salad.
Could not fault it, the salad was fresh and bread light and tasty.
Service was great, would come back with out a doubt.

“Wish I could have breakfast here everyday”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 July 2014

I honestly miss this place so much. My sister and I had breakfast here 2 days in a row and loved it to pieces. It's snug and homey and very friendly service. It smells amazing because everything is made fresh and with locally sourced and organic goods (they even have a map of Scotland showing where they get all their special products).
Their cranberry apple tea is delicious. Their americanos and organic hot chocolates are to die for (and too small, we both got 2 each day. haha). My sister had sausage and scrambled eggs on their fresh bread one morning (and we are determined to find a way of getting the brown sauce they use called Stokes; we could eat it on everything) and I had the best scones I've ever had in my life there. They are perfect. Throw on some fresh jam and clotted cream and you've got better than perfect. I would go back to Edinburgh specifically for those scones if nothing else (though not for nothing else because Edinburgh is awesome)...the bacon rolls are pretty damn tasty too. ;D

“Great for a light lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2014

This place uses good Scottish produce to prepare simple and tasty meals such as soups and sandwiches. We were welcomed by a young and friendly staff, and the three of us liked our lunch there very much, but I found it was on the expensive side for such simple food. A couple of old ladies were having tea and scones next to us and the scones looked amazing! It's worth stopping here if you are in the area.

A cosy cafe with an open plan kitchen. A great buzz with a very friendly smiling waiting team welcomed us. A breakfast menu to suit most appetites. Verdict all round very good. Well worth a visit.
