The appartments are locatrd just off easter road in the leith district of Edinburgh. The appts are very quiet and were very modern and clean. Whilst we were a couple they are large enough to comfortably cater for 4. The concierge was very pleasant and welcoming. All mod cons are provided including dishwasher, washing machine, wifi and sky tv.
A 15 minute bus ride @ £1.50 gets you to the centre of the city with all its atttactions. Taxis are about £10.
You are a 20 minute walk to the Royal yacht Brittania which is well worth a visit.
Leith itself appears to offer a selection of eateries especially around leith water.
For those wishing to eat in arrangements can be made locally for meals tp be supplied alternatively there is a tesco 5 mins walk away.

We stayed at Oakhill apartments for one week in July. This was our first trip overseas and couldn't have asked for better accommodations! We arrived quite early on a Sunday morning after travelling for many, MANY hours and enduring a very lengthy layover in New York. The kids (ages 13 and 15) were exhausted and hungry....as were we! The staff did everything possible to get us into our unit early even though it was early morning and the previous guests had just checked out. The desk clerk saw that we were exhausted after our travels and she made sure we were comfortable while we waited for our room to be cleaned. She pointed out the nearby grocery store and offered to watch our luggage if we needed to get the kids a snack from the store. They had the room cleaned and ready for us in no time at all. They staff were all very, very friendly and helpful and the room was beautiful. The location of this hotel can't be beat as it is minutes from transit and a grocery store. The binder of information in the room even included bus routes and fares. That was so very helpful! With a full kitchen, laundry, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, this place had everything we could ask for....and more! Would love to stay here again!

We stayed at Oakhill apartments on 8th July 2014. It was a very memorable stay. We reached the apartments at late evening and had a smooth check in. The staff is very friendly and nice. They pointed out a few very nice restaurants and cafes around the area and also printed a direction map for us so that we don't get lost. As soon as we entered the apartment we fell in love. we felt like we were back home. We also had a surprise upgrade and were given 1 room extra which was like a cherry on the top. The rooms are very well furnished and modern. The kitchen is fully equipped and the bathrooms are huge and clean. The beds are super cozy and comfortable. We had a room on the topmost floor which gave us brilliant views across edinburgh. The location is great and the bus stop is like 50 meters away so u can get wherever u want easily. There are plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, take aways, cafes near the apartments. We will definitely be staying here on our next visit to edinburgh and will recommend these apartments to everyone who wants good value for money as well as a memorable stay.

Room Tip: Room high up gives great views across edinburgh

Not bad a little on the pricey side and not getting what you have asked for is a pain.
We arrived a little early being told a room was ready but it was a twin and a double, not 2 doubles as requested which made it arkward for use to sort out who had what. This i feel the receptionist should of checked the booking and told us our room was not ready.
Nice and clean and modern plenty of parking but people only around 9 till 5 ish this is information is not on the web.
Wierd that it is inbetween two other blocks of council flats filled with alsorts.
Would of liked to of seen the rooms shown in the brochure.

It is an awesome appartment. The staff is great. The whole experience was awesome and the rooms are awesome. The bed was comfortable and everything was up to our standards. Keep up the good work. And now I am just writing more because trip advisor requires me to write at least 200 characters so I am just writing to waste space.
