This is usually our first choice of where to stay when we visit Edinburgh
We have stayed here many times mainly due to the location. The staff are efficient, helpful and give good advice if you are looking for anything in the City. New refurbished rooms are excellent and we had the best nights sleep in the new bed. Only criticism would be that another chair in the room would be good. (Ask at reception if you really need one). Breakfast was, as always, excellent.parking is not a problem and the bus stops outside the Hotel for both going and coming back are an added bonus. Great when you have a Scottish bus pass!!
We will certainly be back soon.

Typically sparse but functional Travelodge room, and recently refurbished so if you're a regular Travelodge user, you know exactly what you're getting. Extremely comfortable mattress too, so an excellent sleep. No bath here, so it's a nice refreshing change to have a proper shower.

Manager booked us in, and couldn't be more friendly or helpful. Wish I could remember his name, as he deserves a bit of recognition in his own right.

Whilst not central to the city centre, it is on a main route, with either regular buses, or cheap enough taxis.

If I have any niggles, it would be the breakfast. It's typical Travelodge fare. i.e. cheap ingredients, and it shows. And think basic and sparse dining area rather than cosy and welcoming. But when you want to fill up on carbs before a long journey, it's OK. Hey, it's a Travelodge, not The Dorchester. :)

We recently revisited Edinburgh, for a few days holiday. We've stayed at this T/L previously, and were pleasantly surprised to find its had a 'mini makeover'. Lovely refurbished rooms, ie new beds and pillows, along with a fresh new interior décor. The cooked breakfast was nearly as good as on our previous visits, only the orange drink on offer wasn't as nice as i'd remembered. The Staff though were lovely, as usual. So all in all a lovely experience. We'll certainly be back. Bev and Fraser.

Can't fault this hotel at all. Clean, fresh, decent sized rooms with comfortable beds and plump pillows.
Convenient location if driving as not far from city bypass and decent sized car park at back of hotel. On site restaurant and bar that seemed to be open most of time. Decent buffet style breakfast. Can't go wrong with this hotel especially if you get a saver rate like we did of £31 per room.

Second time here & wont be last! Spotless, comfortable bed, great disabled room, free parking & friendly staff. Add to that very reasonable & bus stop just outside hotel to take you into town! What more can you ask? We will definitely use this hotel again & recommend friends! Thanks guys!

Room Tip: Handy bus for theatre!
