“February 2014”
Reviewed 7 February 2014

The hotel is basic but very comfortable and we would certainly stay there again.
Staff are very friendly and extremely helpful - one of our party left her mobile at the reception desk when checking out and the staff went out of their way to ensure it was reunited with it's owner at no expense to my colleague.

Clean, comfortable accommodation, centrally located, convenient access to buses. Restaurant in building, large shopping centre across the road. Recently upgraded rooms, comfortable bedding. No frills, but good value for money.

This is a brilliant base with facilities & a free & spacious car park. With bus stops nearby you're 20 minutes away from the City Centre. Car parking is pricey in town so I strongly suggest leaving your car behind. Try the pubs & restaurants in the Royal Mile, so steeped in history. McGregor's in High Street is worth a visit - as is the Britannia at Ocean Terminal.

My husband and I have stayed here many times, it is spotless, comfortable and superb value for money. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is self service and has plenty of options. Having the bar onsite and evening meals available is an added bonus. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Amazing hotel, the staff are lovely especially Colin. The bar is great, the breakfast and food from the snack menu also lovely. The hotel generally was clean and welcoming. The room was perfect and couldn't fault any of it. We had a room right at the front on the 2nd floor and the traffic noise was minimal due to the excellent double/triple glazing. Bed was amazingly comfy. Taxis into the city centre only take 5-10 mins and there's buses just outside the hotel that are frequent, There's also a shopping centre opposite the hotel if you want somewhere to buy anything (we needed a sewing kit!) and a few places to eat as well. Overall this hotel was lovely and our stay was extremely pleasant.

Recently refurbished with new, really comfortable, king sized, beds. Very friendly and efficient staff.
Close enough to the city centre to make the most of the theatres, cinemas, bars and restaurants available there( fantastic, cheap bus service every few minutes) but far enough away to avoid the dreaded hen and stag parties.

Ask for a room on the third floor at the back and you can't go wrong.

Very comfortable stay, rooms were lovely, comfortable, clean and warm. Having a bar onsite was great and breakfast was more than adequate. The guy checking us in on the evening was fantastic, very friendly and couldn't do enough to help us even providing us with milk for our wee one. Would stay here again and would definitely recommend.
