Visited with my wife, 2yo and 9yo. Weather was lovely which was a big plus. We have visited before when the weather wasnt so nice and the paths were a bit slippy. Plenty of variation in landscape to keep the youngest interested. I always gauge by whether he asks to be carried which means he's bored rather than tired. The exhibits are great and the setting is gorgeous. A previous review sums it up perfectly as Alice in Wonderland. The nettles were quite overgrown on the paths so if wearing shorts or skirts take care as we all got stung. The grass mounds are great but i feel sorry for whoever has to maintain them as despite their being plenty of signage telling folk not to climb/slide people will still climb up the side or let their kids scramble up and slide down. Makes it hard to keep telling 2 kids no when they see others. Its maybe worth stationing one of the volunteers there. I was also surprised by the lack of bins and recycling options on site. We had some lunch snacks and there wasnt really any bins to put stuff in. The food prices were a bit much. £2 for Pom Bears is daylight robbery. Id imagine they would make more money by lowering prices and maybe doing kids boxes and gemerating more customers. Overall £23 for the 4 of us was fine with £10 for coffee and ice cream after. What you expect to pay really. I would definitely recommend people to go but take some food.
Jupiter Artland is a great day out for all of the family. There are parkland and forest walks dotted with various types of artwork and stunning mounds and water areas. This is TrueType a location for all of the family. There is an excellent cafe there but it is a bit pricey. Well worth a visit because the artwork changes from time to time.
Lovely grounds and an enjoyable day. Probably a bit pricey for a family with two kids 4/6. (Under 4 free!) The kids enjoyed the large grass mounds “Cells of Life” and “Light Pours Out of Me” exhibits more those in Gala Hill.
Lovely area for children to run around being children. However, it was £25 to get in for 2 adults and 2 children which is quite a lot for what it is. The cafe is very expensive and you're not meant to take a picnic. For example, pom bear crisps are £2 a pack! Sandwich in the cafe around £8. There were maybe 20 children there today which in the middle of the school holidays, says a lot. Not very buggy friendly at all, even the stones in the car park were a nightmare.
What a fabulous afternoon. Really interesting and fun place. Lots to see to inspire the imagination. We'll be back!
Place well kept and full of surprises. Friendly staff and lovely cafe. Car park was nearly full but the gardens and woods did not seem busy.
