We had an excellent experience with Discreet Scotland Private Tours. The Range Rover vehicle was spacious, comfortable and able to go off-road to see sights tour buses cannot. Our guide was a skilled and courteous driver. He was very considerate of our needs and desires, and quite knowledgable about Scotland, especially its history and geography. We were most interested in finding good photo ops, and he directed us to plenty. We could just as easily concentrated on castles, whisky distilleries, nature, or any other particular feature of this beautiful country. Our guide knew just where to go. In addition, the advance logistical details were handled very smoothly, always a plus. We hesitated briefly about the price, but in the end it was worth every penny. Hiring a car is expensive as well, and with Discreet Scotland Tours, we did not have to worry about reading maps, driving on the 'wrong' side of the road, or traveling with a group of strangers on a large tour bus. We could follow our own schedule and spend as much (or as little) time as we wished at any given stop. We highly recommend Discreet Scotland Private Tours to anyone, and we hope to return to Scotland again to make use of their services.

We had a wonderful time with Matthew, our guide...my entire family loved him, from my 10 year old daughter to my 70 year old father! His car had plenty of room for the six of us, and was impeccably clean. He helped plan our day according to our wishes, and we saw everything we wanted to, yet at a relaxed pace. Matthew is incredibly knowledgeable about all of Scotland, as well as charming in his delivery! We will definitely visit Scotland again, with Matthew as our guide!

Matthew is an outstanding representative for Scotland. We saw so many "off the beaten path" highlights of Scotland. Very accommodating for our teenage kids interests. Plenty of time to free roam the waterfalls and outdoors a bit. Great mix of scenic landscapes and historical sites. Far and away the best segment of our vacation and our year and a half of living in Europe.

We had two different tour guides over three days. They were both so professional and knowledgeable. They were also a pleasure to spend time with.

Ditto all the other glowing reviews, so I will try not to repeat what others have already mentioned. I'll just add a couple points that I hope will recommend this company to you. Can't imagine how you could go wrong here. Spent the day with Hamish and he's top notch. Stopped for hair binders for our daughter at our request. Learned that our daughter was keen on horses, so offered to detour to see The Kelpies horse sculpture, which we enjoyed (um, not for everyone, wouldn't take the time if you don't have a horse nut in your family as we do). Suggested a nice local place for lunch and got our teenage son onto Irn-Bru. One final point: Our family of 4 often takes a private day tour while on holiday, and we're always told by the company "this is your tour, it's custom, take the time you want, blah, blah." And then proceed to make me feel rushed all day to "get to the next really amazing place and beat the crowds." My husband and I both agreed that this was one of the ONLY occasions where we truly felt like it was a bespoke tour, with our family setting the agenda and the timetable. Highly recommend -- thank you for a great day!
