Good place to stay and within easy reach of central Edinburgh with a good bus service right outside the hotel. Excellent breakfast and the staff all very friendly and attentive and nothing too much trouble. I would have rated this top marks but unfortunately I think the beds could do with being upgraded as I felt every spring and didn't sleep very well because of this, in spite of this I would still recommend this hotel for value for money.

Booked a late room at Culane House Hotel in Edinburgh, had a good welcome from Kenny, good stay, room very clean. Good nights sleep, comfy bed, breakfast was very nice, good selection of starters/continental plus a cooked breakfast, kept us going for the day, will definitely stay again.

Spacious, well decorated, comfortable room with many thoughtful amenities. Very attentive night porter with terrific city advice and local eats. There is a bus stop just doors down, but we chose a scenic, short walk to the city center. Excellent breakfast cooked to order. One of the best in the price range our whole trip~thanks again Kenny!

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper, first floor is a bit more quiet.

Small, but very nice hotel with a hospitable staff. The breakfast was great. You could order from a good variety. The room is also nice. It has everything what you need. The bus stop is right at the hotel, which goes to to city centre. Thank you for the great service! I can highly recommend it.

The staff is hospitable and kind, gave us many guides and helped us to book a taxi. The cooked breakfast was great. My room is on the top floor ,it's not big but good enough for short stay~the most important thing is that the room is quiet enough for sleep~!But it is a little far away from city center so bus or taxi is a must.Outside the hotel has a bus station so it's convenient to get to city centre. Day ticket for the bus is £3.50pp ,single ticket is £1.4pp.And it's ok to book trip to highlands in reception, a quite a lot info there to choose.

This Hotel ticks a lot of boxes for a family to stay in Edinburgh. 1.4 miles from Princess Street, Easy to park and clean.

Service was faultless the staff couldn’t be more obliging.

The breakfast was great, with boiled eggs, full English or as I got the impression anything you wanted they were that good.

We had three single beds which were comfortable and a shower and bath all clearly very new and presentable. There was an ironing board and tea & coffee making facilities.

All in all highly recommended hotel

This hotel is all you could ever want for a short stay in Edinburgh. It is small and well run by a dedicated team of staff, who are knowledgeable and very keen to help you find your way around their city. The hotel is situated on a busy bus route so you can easily get to most areas. It's a good idea to buy a day ticket for the bus at a reasonable £3.50, this will take you everywhere you need to go to see all the main Edinburgh sights. Our visit was at the begining of December and we needed every bit of the massive Scottish cooked breakfast they provide to see us through against the cold Scottish winter. We had a great 4 days, made even better by the help given to us by the staff of the Culane House Hotel, they made it a real home from home !

Room Tip: The basement rooms are comfortable, however you need to be aware that the kitchen is also in the bas...
