I just took my wife for a birthday lunch. She hadn't been before and has come out over the moon. If you want 'desperate Dan' cow pie size portions, go elsewhere. This is modern cheffy food - actually using fairly traditional ingredients, but so well presented. Uber polite and helpful staff. We had, between us, scallops, trout, risotto, chocolate grenache, fig tart. All beautifully prepared. It's so easy to overdo scallops and fish and vegetables, and everything we had was spot on. They'd put great thought into combinations of accessories which complemented other tastes. Popcorn on grenache was a revelation!
£75 for two lunches [inc wine and coffee] is not cheap, but for a special occasions it was well worth it.
