“Graduation Dinner”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 August 2014

We booked this to celebrate our sons graduation, I discovered it on the 5pm.co.uk site and thought that their deal of £15 per person for unlimited Indian tapas sounded perfect and probably quite informal as we didn't really want a posh set menu graduation dinner which was being offered by a lot of establishments.
I couldn't fault it at all. It had a very relaxed warm atmosphere and the staff were a credit to them, very friendly and informative. We ordered dish after dish, really focusing on the fish small plates at first. The scallops weren't too good to be honest, they were so small and overcooked, however the Chilli Tandoori King Prawns were amazing, infact we had 4 plates of these as the meal progressed! The Indian Fish and Bhaji, clams and the spiced Haddock were also delicious but I was a bit disappointed that they had no mussels on that night. The chicken pakora were the best I've tasted in an Indian restaurant so again we ordered another plate! We were filling up rapidly however still managed to fit in a couple of the meat dishes of which the Lamb Sagwala was the highlight of the night. Drinks, rice and nan bread etc are extra but they were not expensive so all in all we had a really wonderful celebration meal which I thought was very good value. We will definitely return to try some more, well done Guchhi.

“Fabulous flavours!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2014

Shared an excellent meal with our son, his wife and her parents (from US). Attentive staff, attractive surroundings and delicious food. Far too much to finish but a wonderful selection to suit our different tastes (and boxes to take home the extra). If you're in Leith, Guchhi definitely deserves a visit!

“Great flavour great curry!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 July 2014 via mobile

Lovely place! Great service. Manger and even the owner came over to see how thung were and greet us. Seen them go to the other tables too. Gave us free nibbles while we were waiting. Great curry and even asked up how hot we wanted it. Tried their best to decribe how hot each level was from not to blow your mind. Yet another little hidden gem in edinburgh!

“Late Night Curry”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2014

Popped in for a later night curry as this place is open pretty late, and certainly later than many of the restaurants nearby.

The food and drink flowed nicely and the curries were of a reasonable quality.

The meal and drinks were reasonably priced.

“Indian tapas”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2014

Food and service here is to die for! Came here with an old friend for a catch up after not seeing each other for months. The service is fabulous and the attention to detail from the staff is exceptional. We ordered from the tapas menu with a few cocktails and i wasn't disappointed. The food was well presented, flavoursome, & staff were always on hand. A great experience was had and will most definitely visit again.
