On our recent trip to the Scotland we stayed at the Waldorf Astoria for 6 nights. The hotel was exceedingly comfortable and the staff very eager to please. Our group consisted of two adults and our teenage son. The accommodations were spacious and after long days sightseeing very comfortable to relax in. You can feel the history of the hotel and really appreciate it's grandeur.
We really enjoyed the Caley bar - spending several afternoon's there relaxing after long days of exploring the city.
Our Concierge Malcolm (we just can't say enough good things about) was exceptionally helpful. He provided excellent directions and assistance with trips, tours, train schedules and general information as well as city facts. Whether coming or going we always greeted warmly and friendly by name. The staff made us feel very welcome.
This hotel is located conveniently within walking distance to Edinburgh Castle - Princes Street - the Haymarket - and the train station. With many restaurants and pubs are near by.
This hotel also hosts a spa and fitness center that is on par with any club you would belong to.
