Owner description: A visit to Dynamic Earth is like nothing else on Earth. It's a chance to experience the primeval forces of nature as they shaped our planet, to journey through space and time and even go on a 4DVENTURE around the world. You'll be embarking on the interactive adventure of a lifetime - the lifetime of our planet. As if this wasn't enough, Dynamic Earth is home to Scotland's only 360 degree full dome film theatre. We have a variety of films showing throughout the year.

Almost every child in the Lothian and Borders area will have been to Dynamic Earth for a school trip at some point during their education. A very interesting and educational day out. Not to be missed.

Absolutely fantastic attraction! Go back in time 500 million years, touch a real ice sculpture, experience the 4D cinema and so much more, an absolute must for kids, fun but also educational. Adults loved it too!!

We have been to dynamic earth a few times with the kids, and always they have enjoyed it. They have a new film show in the dome which you get a time allocated for which made our visit a bit rushed, unfortunatly we weren't given the option which film to see and would have to have paid extra to see the one we wanted, which was a shame. The new intaractive part with the cartoon explorer on the TV was great, as you have to talk to the TV but in speaks and answers to you! Many kids walked away from that exhibit with a huge smile and a look of 'How did they do that?' . Great day out and well worth it, just hope they continue to change parts and make it more fun!

We visited yesterday with our children ages 9 and 7 and their grandparents in their 70's and everyone agreed that it was brilliant; excellent value for money, educational and fun. Under 6's may find some of the tour scary due to sound effects, darkness and moving floor etc. We booked online and got 10% discount. The tour lasted about an hour and a half and is an interactive, engaging journey which captivated all ages. It's good the way the groups progress through the journey together and move on together, so whoever you get into the time machine with at the start of the tour will basically be the group you willstay with for the duration of the tour. The cafeteria provides decent meals at reasonable prices, delicious baked potatoes and a good selection of both larger meals, sandwiches/soup etc and the usual kids lunch boxes with sandwich, drink and crisps.
