As i work for a scotch whisky company was quite interested in this one.

One for hubby to

As with most things in Edinburgh not cheap

Nice idea with the barrel chair ride. Found the largest collection of whisky interesting including a couple of ones from the company i worked for.

Nice to receive two tasting glasses

The lady who did the talk at the end talked so fast and strong scottish accent did not catch half of what she said sadly. Shame good job i knew alot about whisky i dread to think what people who didnt thought

I'm not a whiskey drinker myself, but my friends were very excited for the 3300+ collection of whiskeys. We took the 'silverm ' tour. That included a kind of theme park alike ride, a presentation/lecture about the different kinds of whiskeys with a taste, and as grand finale.. The collection. You have to see the collection with your own eyes, it's unbelievable. We got to keep our glasses, and there was time to take some pictures. After all, this was THE activity of Edinburgh. The price was fine, since it includes so much more tan expected.

We recently booked 'The Taste of Scotland' package and it was a great, unique experience. Our excellent host, Hugh, was an expert and talked us through the unique whiskey that we sampled and made us feel like we were all experts by the end of the night (could also have been the booze...) 😜 After the whiskey tasting, we were taken to the Amber restaurant where we had a scrumptious 3 course Scottish themed meal. I cannot recommend this enough... And I hate whiskey!

This is a mandatory stop for scotch lovers. There was an incredible selection of scotch. It was an informative and fun tour. Our 11 year old even enjoyed it (she drank the local soda)!

Many thanks for taking time to write a review. We try hard to ensure that we are inclusive with appropriate content which is also entertaining for families - I am glad that his was this case your and your 11 year old!

I really wanted to go and visit a distillery but just couldn't make it happen so I was hoping that this might at least give me the chance to try some various types of whisky. Unfortunately for 17 British Pounds I only got to try one. Would have had to pay extra for more tastings. Guess I should have because how can you compare when you only try one?

I am sorry that you were disappointed with the tour. The tour which offers one tasting is the Silver Tour, but the full adult price is £14.50 not £17 as stated in your review. We promote this as the perfect introduction and one taste is all that many of our visitors want. All of our communications on and off line are very clear about the different tour and tasting experiences and indeed the Gold and Platinum tours and the Morning Masterclass all offer more tastings. Perhaps you could if there is something that you read elsewhere that led your to believe otherwise in order that we can investigate.
