Spent almost a week there recently; while I would have preferred something closer to the old city, it is a pleasant 10-15 minute walk with some nice restaurants along the way. The hotel makes up for this distance; we had a lovely, spacious room with a beautiful view; the service is impeccable and super friendly and the breakfasts each morning were the best way to begin a day of touring. I highly recommend the property.

We stayed 2 nights and found the service friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable with a super bathroom. I was initially concerned that it wasn't central but it's an easy 5 minute walk into the centre of the city. The breakfast was great. We didn't have dinner so can't comment on the restaurant. The only negative thing about our stay was that we had ordered a taxi to take us to the railway station but the receptionist on duty forgot to phone the taxi meaning that we missed our train. I think this was one episode of human error rather than a true reflection on the hotel and the hotel were very apologetic and paid for the new fare.

We had an Itison voucher for a chateaubriand and bottle of wine between 2. It would be hard to find fault with this, both for value and quality. Given that Edinburgh was in full Festival frenzy, the restaurant at the Bonham was a haven of peace and excellent service. The steak was superb and the wine better than average. We've been once before to the Bonham, but this confirms our impression that it is somewhere special - worth a visit.

Great historic town house in EDI, fully modernise, with huge rooms and good restaurant.
Have been using the Bonham for a few months, when available. It has become my preferred hotel for EDI business trip. Quiet, comfortable, very spacious. Can't go wrong.

Not my regular hotel in Edinburgh where I stay a lot as its a fair hike into the city. The hotel is a mix of new and old rooms in a converted building on the Leith basin. The staff were exceptionally helpful in accommodating me in swapping rooms (ask for one on the estuary side if you are a light sleeper, the road in the city side has cobbles). Whether you prefer standard boxes (new side) or slightly quirky rooms (old building) is a personal preference. Generally, they are pretty good for a chain hotel.

Food in the restaurant is good although the service tends to be a bit random and the seating is somewhat laid back for eating. Breakfast appears to be getting worse in every hotel I stay in and this is no exception. Clearly the company accountants are in the ascendency.

Room Tip: Estuary side (north) is quietest.

We stayed over new year with a package that included dinner and a ticket to the street party. The hotel and the room was great, very quiet with spotless rooms. The food was good too, but some of the staff were new to the job and it may have made our stay perfect once they were up to speed.its not cheap but it's location was good and it was also Scotland over new year! Well worth it.

I took my mum here for her birthday and we LOVED It. It is gorgeously decorated - it is new, clean, classic and stylish. The service was outstanding and all the staff were so kind and helpful.

They suggested a number of delicious restaurants we visited over our long weekend and gave my mum a free glass of bubbly to celebrate her birthday.

The rooms were a great size and we even had enough room for all the clothes we bought! I would recommend this to anyone who likes a stylish boutique hotel. It is mainly an adult vibe but I imagine if your children are well behaved you would be very comfortable here.

I will be back as soon as i can.
