“Can't say enough good things!”

We totally enjoyed the Beruit today. It is great value for money. We had hummus, falafel, and a lamb dish.....all cooked to perfection. We were in for lunch and found it to be quiet. The service was great. Will definitely be back!

“Very good. Well-cooked food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 November 2013

Lebanese food needs a bigger audience. It is delicious and this restaurant does not disappoint. The menu is interesting and the dishes are very well cooked and well presented. The decor is perhaps a little tired and dark, but the service was prompt and impeccable. There is no alcohol licence but you are welcome to bring your own wine or beer - or go across the road to buy as appropriate.

“FRESH food, beautifully cooked...”

I agree with the praise given to this restaurant. The waiter knows all about the food. He went out of his way to ensure that we got what we wanted, and provided explanations with pleasure and genuine happiness. We praised the chef, who very shyly appeared, and to see the modest pride in his face when we conveyed our delight at the food was worth much more than we paid. We shall return time and time again. A gem of a modest, authentic restaurant.

“Great meal and excellent service.”

I visited Beirut with my sister last weekend and between us we ordered the grilled chicken, humus, moutabal and okra with lamb and it was fantastic! The food tasted great, the waiter was friendly and helpful in recommending dishes to us and the baklava was my personal favourite! think we might need a re-visit with the rest of the family soon!

“Its not just about food.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 November 2013 via mobile

The Beirut restaurant was within walking distance of the Royal Mile in Edinburgh. The atmosphere was vibrant, food was well cooked, well presented and generous portion sizes meant no one went hungry. Good overall value for money. Great people made the restaurant run smoothly and even at a very busy time we were served excellent food in good time.
