I attended a black- tie dinner at the Prestonfield (the wooden spoon charity do) - this place does this type of event better than most. The food and the service are both excellent - if you're planning a big function they will in let you down.

We decided to drive to Edinburgh for the weekend and booked the Prestonbury as it
had such good reviews. We were not disappointed.Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful.
Beautiful room with champagne and snacks. The restaurant food in the evening was superb.
Fabulous choice at breakfast to suit all tastes. We would definitely go back there again.

We spent a divine evening at Prestonfield House. The staff were attentive and could not do enough to help. Our room was beautifully decorated and had some lovely little touches such as freshly baked cookies and petis fours on arrival. This place knocks corporate minimalism into a cocked hat.

We loved our afternoon tea here. Proper, quiet, elegant and cozy, we truly enjoyed the food and service. Will try to go back for dinner sometime. The humble and understated entrance takes you on a dim and glamorous journey throughout the hotel. Haven't spent the night there yet so I can't comment on the rooms. With the majestic Arthur's Seat backdrop, this place is a wee oasis of its own kind. I could see more work done out in the garden to bring it to the same glamorous level of the interior decoration. The neighborhood falls short of our expectations. Not much to do outside the hotel estate, so you will definitely need a car to go to the city centre or you can cab it. Walking won't be that pleasant. Buses should go around the area.

We spent the weekend at Prestonfield House for the 50th wedding celebrations with the whole family and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The food was amazing, the rooms were very opulent, (the bed was incredibly comfortable), and the staff very attentive. It was incredibly relaxing to come back from touring the National Museum and sit in the Tapestry Room enjoying tea and scones in front of the roaring fire. The hotel itself is set in 20 acres and although you are in the city you feel as if you are enjoying a true country experience. It was a huge success and a truly memorable weekend.

What a fabulous place Prestonfield is! Whether its Afternoon Tea in the Tapestry Room in front of a roaring fire or Dinner in Rhubarb, this is an experience you will love. Although not far from the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh City Centre you feel like you have been transported into a place of sumptuous luxury and tranquility - aaahhh...

Thank you for your attention to detail, service and terrific food. Sorry that we had your team scrambling to understand/make a Talisker Old Fashion, but they finally got it. Tea was excellent as well on one of our afternoons. The Lord P Suite was perfection. We will return!
