“Lovely place for a walk”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

Great to wander around this large garden and enjoy the amazing variety of 'flora'. It's size means you can easily enjoy a few hours here without retracing steps - and the fact that it is 'free' means families can perhaps return for short visits if it suits them without straining finances

“Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

My first visit here was a few years ago, but it was well worth returning. The gardens are fabulous but the glasshouses are just out of this world. Something for everyone.

“Peace and tranquility”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

When we visit Edinburgh and assuming the weather is dry we always make a trip to one of Edinburgh's finest free attractions the Royal Botanic Gardens.
These gardens are vast always in good condition and a feast to the eyes. We spend a couple of hours wandering around the various landscapes,it is very peaceful and at the end of the walk there is a nice cafe to enjoy.

“Peaceful haven in a city”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

This is a fabulous place to go for a long walk and take time out to sit and contemplate. The different plants and flowers really are a joy to behold. This is a great visit if you have plenty of time, it is not a place to go if you are in a hurry.

The gardeners must work very hard in order to keep this wonderful place such a beautiful retreat.

We will definitely be back and thank you for all the work done to give us all this gift in Edinburgh!
