The hotel is perfectly located for the station, shopping and bus links to all the main attractions. Access with a small child was very hard as after navigating the heavy front doors you have to carry everything 3 flights of stairs to reception. The staff are not the friendliest and mostly foreign. A lift is available to get to your room but you have to wait as it seems hotel staff get priority!!! The rooms are small and in need of a make over as well as double glazing. The mattress on the bed had no springs left and you could almost feel the base when you lay down. During the night the noise from drunken strays and the constent procession of police cars with sirens blaring going past along princess street doesn't give you a good nights sleep. On a positive note I can honestly say the room had the best shower I've ever had at a hotel.
The food at the hotel was not great. We had dinner on both nights with both meals on the first night well overcooked. Breakfast was not the best ever. If you like everything cooked in the deep fat fryer you'll love it. Hash Browns, Mushrooms, Sausages, Black Pudding all out of the fryer!!!
On the whole perfect location, rooms need some work, food needs allot of work and customer service needs improvingMore
