We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The bedroom was a good size with a small living area, the bathroom was huge with a bath 2 sinks and a walkin shower and it looked very new. A comment made by other guests is the toilet paper it is cheap and nasty and lets an otherwise great hotel down. The breakfast was very nice and plenty of it, although we did have a fire alarm half way through breakfast and none of the staff seemed to know what to do. The fire exit door was actually locked so we had to leave by the main staircase, I think there had been a small fire in the kitchen but this was quickly sorted.
I thought it was a bit far to walk to the centre took about 20 mins.

There are not many car parking spaces but we managed to get one and never moved the car until we were leaving.

We had a very enjoyable stay and we would stay again.

We booked this hotel as a birthday treat for my wife and how nice it turned out . First our room was upgraded so we ended up with a lovely double suite with views over the geen in front . The bed was huge and very comfortable , the bathroom looked new and the staff were very friendly and efficient. We had a great meal in the hotel restaruant , which served traditional dishes with a modern presentation . It was a nice stroll into the city centre either across the meadows or following the roads in. we will deffinately go back again.

We needed to find a hotel for a Scotland v. Wales rugby weekend and left it rather late to book. The Bruntsfield was available and we decided to try it, even though it was further out of the city than we really wanted. We were so pleased we were staying in Bruntsfield when we saw how mobbed the city was and it was only a few minutes in a taxi to the hotel. It was very peaceful in a really nice setting. Our room had a lovely view over the park. We were given a double room to start with, so, back to reception to point out we had booked a twin. We were upgraded to a suite which was great. The only problem is the noise of the plumbing and the inefficient radiators (it was snowing!). We did report this, so hopefully you won't need earplugs if you stay here. Oh, try the restaurant - absolutely excellent. So was room service. We'll be back!

We stayed three nights at the Bruntsfield. We were expecting good things, after looking through tripadvisor.com, and definitely got what we expected. It's not cheap, but then again, accommodation in the UK is not cheap. Friendly feel to the whole place, and there's a bus stop a couple of minutes walk away so it's easy to get a day pass on the buses and explore Edinburgh. We received a complimentary upgrade to a four-poster room, which was very nice, especially as we were on a romantic getaway! The breakfast, which you have to order the cooked items, was excellent each day. We liked the order-to-be-cooked feel, especially as most B&B packages that hotels give you are for a buffet, and food can go cold. We also had the best meal of the trip in the restaurant downstairs... do not give it a miss! The four-poster room is huge, and there's free internet through an Ethernet cable, but we managed to get some WiFi connectivity from the meeting rooms downstairs, which was nice! All in all, a really good hotel with good value for money.

OK, first things first: this is not a luxury hotel. So if you're looking for 5 star luxury look elsewere. But if not, then this is a good bet. I stayed for one night on my own and paid £63. Pretty good value. The first room they put me in was a ground floor room, but I didn't feel too safe, so they moved me to a first floor room with a magnificent view over Edinburgh (bit overheated but nice). Bruntsfield is a lovely area, with lots of restaurants and a park across from the hotel. There are also lots of lovely kids shops and jewellery shops if you need to shop... Overall staff were pleasant and helpful (and there is a very cute bar man!) and it was five minutes in a cab from Princes Street. Well worth a visit.
