A pleasant few days spent here. Only three bus stops away from city centre. Room was a bit on the small size, particularly the bathroom, but it was manageable. Staff were very pleasant. The young man in Skerries each evening, who's name I didn't manage to get, was really great. Very attentive. Breakfasts excellent. Beds comfy. Can definitely recommend this hotel

This is certainly the finest hotel I've been to in a long time. With 21 rooms, this offers the most personal service you could ever hope for. Great quality from start to finish. The restaurant took us by surprise. We dined for 3 nights in the restaurant because it was such good food, and the pricing demonstrated 'good value for money'. The service could have been improved, but this is an independent hotel so you do roll with these small issues quite well. Book this hotel and you will NOT be disappointed !

Hello there

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. I am delighted that you were overall happy with your stay. My apologies regarding the service in the restaurant, if it was not up to your standard. I will have a word round and get some retraining done with the staff to make sure the experience is totally up to scratch.

I hope to see you again soon

Thanks

Samantha

Just back from a one night stay at Dunstane House Hotel a large Victorian style house 10 minutes walk from city centre ,this is not usually the type of hotel I would book ,preferring the bigger more modern hotels ,but from now on this is going to be my 1st choice. Can not fault this hotel it was absolutely lovely with welcoming staff and relaxed atmosphere, service was fantastic from start to finish and the decor throughout was stunning and easily outshone the 5 star hotel (which was double the price) I had stayed in the night before! I Was pleasantly surprised to be given an upgrade when booking in ,to room 2 ,a large room with four poster bed and again with stunning decor.Did not have time for evening meal but breakfast was delicious .Will definitely go back when in Edinburgh ,top class .

I stayed here on a visit to Edinburgh for my partners birthday on Saturday 1st June and I have nothing but positive reviews for this place. The hotel is immaculate with very friendly staff at Reception and the next day for Breakfast. I was very kindly upgraded when I arrived which pleased both my partner and I very much - room very spacious and bathroom again immaculate and vast in size.

The breakfast on Sunday was just what was needed (very tasty and hot) after a saturday night in Edinburgh and I would most definitely return to this hotel and have recommended to friends already.

Thanks again!!

A nice modern layout, exceptionally clean, and very friendly staff.
The location was great, just a short bus ride (bus stop just outside the front door) or taxi into city center. The sister hotel across the road looked even more impressive from our one late night visit for a night cap from their bar.

This hotel is hardly 10 minutes away by bus from the city center like Prince's Street and well-connected by various bus services. From the Haymarket rail station it is at a walking distance of 5-10 minutes. There are buses for Rosslyn Chapel from bus stops nearby. We stayed here for 2 nights and lives upto its claims. The hotel is beautifully done up and the best part is the warm and friendly set of people who run it. The hotel has a bar and restaurant. The bar has a good selection of drinks and a great place to rest after all the sight-seeing. We arrived early and were able to check in early. The breakfast has a good selection of both continental and hot food. Highly recommend it. The hotel has a big garden in front with seating. Nice place to be in the evening

Room Tip: The rooms facing the road were beautiful. It overlooks the front garden. The road hardly sees any tr...
