Edinburgh Capital Hotel

We booked this hotel at the last minute and to be honest, when we pulled up outside, we weren't expecting too much. However, the hotel inside was lovely. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and well appointed with lovely little touches. The food was excellent both at breakfast and dinner with various price options.
The atmosphere in the hotel was very friendly and all the staff went out of their way to help.
This hotel is a great find and good value too. We will certainly be back.

We stayed at the Edinburgh Capital prior to dropping off my partners parents at the airport. The room itself was fine, as was the breakfast and service we received from all members of staff that we encountered. The only negative point from a personal point of view was that the bed was a little hard, it was also very windy outside and there was a bizarre banging sound coming from the ceiling as if a flap was banging, but there was nothing there, so sleep was a little disrupted. Free wifi excellent touch.

Overall I would stay here again, location excellent for ease of access to the city centre.

Still impressed with this hotel, excellent rooms and service at a really good rate. This time I ate in the restaurant off the £12.95 "early" menu (before 7pm) and had three really good courses - I'd have happily paid twice that amount in a restaurant in the city centre for food of that quality.

This hotel check in was very efficient and the room very comfortable, but a bit hot during the course of the night.
Public transport to Princes Street area leaves from beside this hotel.
Dinner was fine although I had never had the sweet course served up in a teacup before this occasion.
The leisure facilities were very good too.
Only downside was the extremely wet weather which prevented us from leaving the hotel at time of visit. However that cannot be held against the establishment.

We stayed for the weekend and were pleased with the hotel. It was very nice, well decorated and modern. All the staff were very friendly.
The hotel also has a very nice gym and swimming baths, also a sauna. I didnt get a chance to use these facilities as we had plans for the whole weekend but I wish I could have asthey looked great.
The breakfast was very nice as was our evening meal although there wasn't a lot of choice on the menu.
The only thing that let it down slightly was the service at the bar. Wasnt busy but still it took a long time to get a drink.
