Can only endorse what is being said about Bia Bistrot credit to all the well trained staff friendly and welcoming, everything served was cooked to perfection, the lamb rump with pea puree my wife said was the best she had ever had.
Nice to see everyone enjoying themselves in a busy comfortable setting, definately recommended, they even organised the Red Arrows to fly past when we were eating however i do think that may have had something to do with the festival.

Had a lovely meal here last night on our first visit for an anniversary dinner booked by my husband. After seating us at our table the head waiter came over to advise that the booking at the table next to us was under the same surname and did we recognise the last 4 digits of the phone number just in case we knew them and wanted to be moved for a more private dining experience - luckily we didn't but nice that they thought to ask. We ordered some of the appetisers while we were looking over the menu and the parsley pesto was lovely with the fresh artisan bread. I opted for the specials - a leek, spinach and garden pea soup to start which was delicious, and the hake with potato, samphire and almond butter as a main which was divine (and that coming from someone who's mainly vegetarian). My other half opted for the special starter of gressingham duck breast salad and the lamb from the main menu. Both were devoured to leave clean plates so I can only assume they were well appreciated. After a brief break we decided to order desserts - the lemon curd with berries and shortbread and the special peach and lime jelly. These were nice but not quite the same standard as the earlier courses although it might have been that I was just a bit too full. Staff were attentive and friendly and we will certainly be back when we can get the babysitters booked in again!

We chose Bia Bistrot for a celebration family meal based and the reviews on Trip Advisor (after checking out some very expensive alternatives) and we were not disappointed.
. We wanted a small, relaxed and comfortable setting where we could enjoy some good food and this place fitted the bill perfectly.
.The staff were friendly and welcoming and the menu which contained some interesting and tasty dishes was described perfectly our waiter when we couldn't decide which dishes to choose.
The steak was perfectly cooked and the confit duck was delicious. Too full for puddings.....We would happily return the next time we visit Edinburgh

Had a lovely meal with friends here. The service was polite and attentive and food just lovely. My steak was cooked perfectly, and my friends' meals got rave reviews too. The little pieces of shortbread with desert were absolutely gorgeous - a sign of the attention to detail. Will definitely be back.
