The hotel is conveniently located at Haymarket station. Easily accessible from the airport and within walking distance of Princess Street. The hotel is clean and efficient. The bed was perfect; had a great night sleep. Staff is polity and willing to help if needed. No luxury, just a good night sleep.

I stayed for 8 nights in this hotel with my son and elderly parents, we had two rooms. The staff was very helpful, rooms spotlessly clean. It was convenient to be able to regulate the heating level in the room. Nice TV & very comfortable beds. Within a walking distance to all sightseeing places in Edinburgh and 3 minutes' walk from a train station. Even my parents who are 70 y.o. said walking to the city centre was a breeze! True, the full breakfast is not exactly cheap, but the good value of rooms compensates for it, plus there are a lots of cafes in the area or you can just buy a croissant at a nearby supermarket and have a morning coffee in the comfort of your room. Will definitely stay again. In my view, for a family visit such a hotel is better than a B&B.

Rooms very clean with refreshments and basic facilities
Friendly staff and very helpful
Daily room service

In summary, this is a convenient and affordable accommodation - all you would expect of a premiere inn.

We paid £58 for two nights stay and were generally pleased with what we got for our money. The hotel was ideally situated for Haymarket station, being only a few minute walk away. It is a big hotel with over 800 rooms with a bar and restaurant. Because of the low price, you pay extra for breakfast (currentley £7.95 per head), but there is a good choice, and you can eat as much as you like-it was well cooked & plentiful. The rooms are spacious, clean and warm (it was -12 outside when we were there!!). Staff were freindly & helpful. All in all, we would recommend this hotel as a good budget establishment and a good base for exploring Edinburgh.

Recently stayed in Premier Inn Haymarket in two family rooms. We all liked the hotel very much, friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, well located within walking distance to Royal Mile and shopping areas. The only negative was that our rooms faced the Morrison Street and was very noisy due to traffic noise from outside. Windows were obviously not double glazed to keep out noise. As we were out during the day, this was not a huge problem, but was an irritant late in the night and early morning when we were asleep.

Overall, though, very good value for money and would highly recommend, provided you select rooms in the quieter side.

My young son and I stayed here a few days before Christmas. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times - at reception, in the restaurant and the even the cleaning staff who have limited customer contact.

The hotel is located very close to the Haymarket station, however it is about a 15 minute walk from town which may not suit everyone.

The hotel room was to the rear overlooking the car park. No real views to speak of, but nice and quiet. The front of the hotel overlooks a main road but it doesn't seem too busy with traffic, although another reader commented on being awoken by drunken revellers!

The room was very clean, warm and spacious, with comfortable beds and modern TV. Bathroom was fine however basin has old-school separate hot/cold rather than mixer and the hot water is way too hot to use! New mixer taps would be a worthwhile upgrade!

On the request of my tired five year old son, we ate in the restaurant the second night rather than venturing out. I've always been dubious about hotel food - from experience in all manner of hotels, it is usually poor quality, overpriced or both! However the food was way better than my expectations, and pretty reasonable too.

Conclusion: will definitely visit again.

Great premier inn just on the outskirts of Edinburgh.
The hotel was great, All the staff were helpful & friendly. Food was great we had an evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant both meals and service were great.
Drinks weren't overpriced either.
The bedrooms were spacious, clean, warm and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless!

Would definately stay in this hotel again and would definately recommend it for a visit to Edinburgh.

Haymarket train station is just accross the road so ideal to hop on and off the train.
