“cafeteria food at restaurant prices”
Reviewed 17 May 2014

I've been here a few times recently and at different times of day. This is better than The Gathering alternative airside at Edinburgh Airport (for which I've posted another review on Trip Advisor) but wouldn't have any customers at all if it were not for the severely limited choice of food outlets at the airport. In my experience the service is consistently quick, friendly and efficient and the food is just about OK but has never been great and is always very poor value.

“Marvellous.”
Reviewed 12 April 2014

This is definitely worth a walk up. When you go there just marvel at the workman-ship then take a stroll to the top and really take in the views. Admire the craftsman-ship all the way up and around on the streets. Beautiful.

“Not enough seats”
Reviewed 10 April 2014

Flying out around dinner time from Edinburgh and wanted to start the holiday with a drink. As a party of two I didn't expect to have a problem with seats but we had to go back three times before we found a seat.
The food takes from 15-25 mins.
Very busy at the bar and staff laugh and joke with each other whilst people are waiting.

“No great shakes - just average”
Reviewed 4 April 2014

Had a meal prior to a London flight. The portions were a bit small for the price but I guess you always expect to pay more in an airport. Typical Wetherspoons fare but I have had much better at other Wetherspoons outlets. Nothing to make me rush back and will try somewhere else in the airport for my next visit.

“Good food at a reasonable price”
Reviewed 4 April 2014

During our trip we were more intent on seeing as much as we could in the short time we had, than finding a restaurant we fancied, so we relied on Wetherspoons as we have used them all over the UK. We used the Alexander Graham Bell on George Street. Very busy as the other Wetherspoons shut for refurbishment. However, service was quick, food was good quality and the steaks cooked just right. On our next visit the scampi and fish and chips were also fine. Lively atmosphere as at most Wetherspoons. Will continue to use Wetherspoons on our travels.
