Echoing what other guests have said. Cute place, comfy and clean room, nice hosts and great breakfast. It's located on a quiet street, but there are some cute pubs and places to eat that are within walking distance. Would definitely stay again!

Stayed for just one night while visiting my son at university. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable with home-made shortbread and teacakes on arrival. The guest house is well placed for getting into Edinburgh. A ten minute ride at £1.50. 20 minute walk to the university. Breakfast was wonderful with a great range of choice. Would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: We had the triple family room which was really big with comfortable window seating. Plenty of space...

We stayed here 4-6th May 2013 and couldn't fault it at all. The room we stayed in (The Superior Room) was gorgeous and very clean. The staff were lovely and friendly, and the breakfast was top quality. Would definitely stay here again if in Edinburgh. It is a 25 minute walk to the centre but there are also regular buses into town. Would definitely recommend staying here. Ooh and the home made shortbread is amazing!

Returned to Teviotdale House for the second time in order to spend a weekend in Edinburgh for the rugby. Excellent B+B, with very welcoming hosts. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful and the homemade shortbread wonderful. Is situated away from the main tourist areas but is easy to get to the centre either by public transport or walking. Already planning our next trip!

Stayed for 2 nights with a friend 21-22 September. The twin room was spacious with a wash basin, bath robes and hair dryer. A separate key gave us access to the adjacent very spacious shower room with washing basin and toilet, everything spotlessly clean. The homemade shortbread in the room was great and the breakfast was delicious. The B&B is located in a lovely quiet location, we were blessed with great weather (for September) so didn't mind the walk into town/back - I would estimate it was about a 20 minute pleasant walk from the B&B through the Meadows and to the old town.
Will definatley stay again when I next visit Edinburgh xx

Two adults. No complaints at all about the room or facilities. What really made our stay enjoyable was the homemade shortbread and the amazing breakfast. We still talk about how great the food and treats were during this stay. Recommend. Nice and quiet away from tourist areas.

The twin room was spacious with a washing basin, bath robes and a powerful hair dryer. Another separate key gave access to the adjacent spacious shower room with washing basin and toilet, everything spotlessly clean. The homemade shortbread in the room was a real treat.
The beds were very comfy and breakfast excellent - we loved the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon on toast, yummy!
Very friendly and efficient service. The B&B is located in a very quiet neighbourhood with free street parking in evenings and weekend. Would easily stay here again!

Room Tip: Don't be put off by the adjacent shower room with facilities. It's really no hassle and the...
