We stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting family in Edinburgh. A week before we left we had a phone call from reception (Robin) offering us a free upgrade for our family of 5 to two rooms together with a interconnecting door. How brilliant that was so Thank you. The rooms were modern and clean. Rooms had Tea,Coffee etc and both rooms had a Playstations. The hotel was well placed for Edinburgh with car park. We were looked after very well, the staff found us a table at Breakfast efficently and the dining room staff were accommodating by getting me milk for my youngest son on a evening. Would recommend this hotel. It is so nice to find a hotel which accommodates a family of 2 Adults and 3 Children.

It can never be easy for a hotel to welcome a rugby tour, but this hotel did so with a friendly efficiency and charm. We stayed this Easter weekend 2013. The rooms were fair for the price, clean and good towels. The little things that make hotel 4 star were missing, free combs toothbrush and proper sopa but this was made up for by the price. breakfast for 40 was were presented and a good Scottish fare. A really good hotel.

Thank you for your kind comments after your clubs recent stay. We host a number of groups throughout the year including sports groups. We are well aware of such groups specific needs and with a bit of forward planning with the group organiser we normally mange to offer a service that is suited to the group.
You were obviously very busy during your stay or you would have found in the room information folder that items such as combs, toothbrushes, shower caps, face flannels are all available free of charge via reception. We use bulk dispensed soap and shampoo from Gilchrist and Soames in our bedrooms as part of our ‘green credentials’ to cut down packaging and waste. Anyone who is in the habit of buying Gilchrist and Soames toiletries will know there is no compromise on quality , nor unfortunately, on price! Bars of soap are of course available on request if required.

I have just returned from three nights at the King's Manor and it was excellent. I got a room upgrade from small single to family room, which made a very good rate even better. For me one of the best things about the hotel was the fact that it was right next to a cycle route into the centre of Edinburgh, which I hadn't known when I booked the hotel. The staff were very helpful and allowed me to leave my bike in the cloakroom to avoid having to lock it up outside. A lovely swimming pool and large and well equipped gym were brilliant bonuses for the price I paid. There was free WiFi throughout the hotel which again was welcome, especially after some of my disturbing experiences of the prices the larger chains want to charge for WiFI access! (Yes, Holiday Inn and Hilton, I mean you!)

Delighted that you enjoyed your stay and we were able to upgrade you. We are well placed for cyclists with an off road cycle route only a few yards from the hotel that will take you to the city centre- and beyond- without meeting traffic. Free WiFi is available in ALL Best Westen hotels now, another great reason to stay with Best Western.

Lovely big rooms, all the facilities, free wifi, the bed was enormous and very comfortable and the staff are friendly and efficient . Breakfast is cooked to order and there is lots of choice. Ticks all the boxes for me. I will remember this one for future trips.

We visited recently for the weekend for a birthday of a friend and the hotel was clean, had a good variety of facilities and really nice rooms. The breakfast was good and the staff are very polite and helpful. Although we didn't spend a lot of time in the room or the hotel I'd still recommend it to anyone. The only thing I would say is that the beds are a little on the hard side.

Thank you for reviewing your recent stay. I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay. I am surprised that you found the bed a bit hard for you, normally guests find our beds very comfortable. I shall pass your comments on to our housekeeper. Maybe if you can contact the hotel direct with your room number we can check it over to see if there is a fault with that mattress.

Recently had three night break at this hotel. God location for the city. The room was a little small, but well presented and immaculately clean. Staff very helpful and the breakfast was lovely. There was nothing that was too much trouble for the staff. Thoroughly recommend.

Room Tip: To for the back away from main road

Thank you for your review of your recent stay. Our rooms do vary in size. On most days an upgrade to one of our large club rooms is available at check in for only £35 per stay – be it 1 night of 4. Maybe you can use this upgrade service on your next stay.

Four of us stayed here for the Scotland v Wales international in March and we were all very happy with our stay. Comfortable rooms with a (huge) double bed and a single bed, all areas of the hotel were well presented and spotlessly clean. Buffet breakfast was one of the best I have had. Spa area was very enoyable after a few late nights. A special mention to the staff at reception, spa, breakfast room and bar who were always efficient, helpful and friendly and a credit to the hotel. The only drawback is that the hotel is a little isolated and around a 15-20 minute walk from any shops, restaurants or pubs. However this does not prevent me from awarding full marks.
