Great to hear how much that you enjoyed your stay with us. we hope that we can welcome you back in the near future.
When I was a student at the Nautical College we were the first residents in the new accommodation block on Milton Road and the Kings Manor became our regular. We recently had a 40 year reunion and so I booked the Kings Manor. It has changed a lot over the years and all to the better. It is much extended and has a large leisure centre.
I like Best Western Hotels because they are all independently owned and managed so each is unique yet all share things in common so you know the standard you can expect.
My room was generously proportioned and overlooked the garden. It was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was a buffet that was well stocked.
Overall, I'd rate the hotel highly. The only negative was that we were asked to vacate the bar when it closed. There was a wedding on in the hotel so the only area to continue our chat was at reception. Wedding guests kept nipping out to smoke making this a cold area and in the end we all headed off to bed. Surely as guests we could have remained in the bar even if it was closed.
I'm sure I'll use the Kings manor again and hopefully long before the next 40 years pass by!
Thanks for your comments. I am delighted that you enjoyed your return visit. Unfortunately our main bar does not have any shutters to lock it up so if we have no staff we have to close the bar. Unfortunately on the night of your stay we had to allocate all late night staff to the wedding. I hope we see you again before the 50th reunion.
Brilliant weekend, the hotel staff were the best ever, they could not do enough for us organising a private room for us on the first night, food was extremely tasty, and breakfast was unlimited. There was 19 of us and we would all recommend this hotel.
Great to hear that your hen party was a success. Good luck with the wedding celebrations!
We spent 3 night at Kings Manor Hotel. Staff excellent. Room immaculate. Food very good. Leisure faculty excellent. The location of the Kings Manor, its high standard, facilities and staff make it our favourite hotel for a special treat.
Great to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Look forward to welcoming you back
The room was nice and spacious. As we were in a family room with three beds. Breakfast was lovely, the Swedish message was fantastic that we had. And the swimming pool was nice and clean and loved the steam room also. Plus all the staffs were very helpful and friendly.
Great to hear that you fully enjoyed your stay with us. Look forward to welcoming you back
We had a very comfortable room near reception on the ground floor.. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Just the breakfast knocks this below 5 stars - there were items you could order fresh but the precooked food was either tepid or, in the case of the bacon, impossible to get a knife through. I know this is a big and busy hotel but I like my food cooked fresh. After one breakfast we went elsewhere for the remaining 2 mornings.even the croissants weren't nice.
Good location for buses into town although roadworks meant longer journeys, sometimes 40 minutes.
Sorry that you did not enjoy the buffet part of the breakfast. It is generally very popular with our guests. As you say there are several items that we always cook to order like poached eggs and kippers . As it also says on the menu we are happy to cook any of the 'buffet' items to your exact requirements.
